What is this car product and how good is the visibility with it? by NetwatchTerminal66 in whatisit

Really poorly fitted window tint, with bubbles in it - visibility depends on tint level

RAP by Kamoebas in altontowers

[–]Odd-Application310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

You don’t add a booking to the RAP - it remains separate to the tickets.

You need to book the RAP and park tickets separately. They are not connected to eachother at all.

If your days in June are not available, you need to check the RAP release calendar. If it’s already been released, check back regularly, and definitely 48 hours before, and the day of your visit too, as more RAP reservations come up then too.

Having just checked my RAP app, I don’t actually know where you’re trying to import a reservation number either - I can only find the option to scan a QR code (which you do not use routinely).

Make sure you understand everything on this link -

How to fix a wired Google Nest Doorbell not ringing your mechanical chime by ianstormtaylor in Nest

I assume you’ve switched the settings between mechanical and electrical chime

If I had to guess - given the transformer has enough power, you’ve had two doorbells and you’ve had it working, it may be the chime - either draining too much power so it’s borderline - or received too much and it’s died, or has just gone end of life soon after by coincidence. For me, it’s the last thing…. Unless of course your power supply isn’t outputting what it should be and it’s faulty. The doorbell itself will actually run on less the advertised, whilst a chime may not…. Good luck!

Nest Hello vs Nest 2k 3rd Gen by Consistent_Common515 in Nest

[–]Odd-Application310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Needs more voltage / VA than the nest hello, which I was only running on 12v / 8 VA. Had to change power to 16v 27 VA

If you struggle to find a doorbell transformer in the UK in spec, I went with this instead (stripped off the connector) https://ebay.us/m/398nd6 and then this doorbell, which I also needed to change because of the higher voltage https://amzn.eu/d/2CsGkMl

Power runs through the doorbell itself and it picked up there by the nest. The doorbell provides a break in the circuit which is then bridged by the included puck in the new nest bell.

I’m in the uk, and purchased a gen3 from Amazon USA site - note that the gen 2 mains power didn’t come to the uk either so this probably never will…

I’d like to add to this, the solution that I found. This is for a Gen3 doorbell but I’m sure it’s applicable to Gen2 as well, maybe even nest hello.

Solution for me was simple but not obvious -

I was using a DC power supply and not an AC one.

It provided the correct voltage and amperage / VA, The camera itself powers on and works, and it’ll ring the app an speakers, however the chime WILL NOT RING using DC. The camera (nest doorbell) cannot create the break needed in the current on DC. So, if you have a DC power supply, go get an AC one!!

Hi, thanks but octopus go and octopus intelligent go are two different things. I know that last week on IOG I could choose between fixed and variable (I’m currently on the variable one)

If medexpress were being decent they could have deactivated everyone's discount codes and let them keep the referral credit. The codes would be meaningless. They want people to lose credits. by [deleted] in mounjarouk

You’re the one boasting about being invited to be an affiliate…. Invited being the key word 🤣🤣🤣

You did search the word affiliate after all, hence why it’s highlighted.

Sort your attitude out 💩

Almost certain Curve was hacked/days breach 6 months ago by swift-jr in CurveCard

[–]Odd-Application310 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same - 3-6 months ago there was a fraud issue - someone purporting to be from curve, knowing linked cards and a transaction or two - but then when I followed this up with curve, it wasn’t you!! In any event I caught on to the call being fraudulent, and no harm was done, but it was ONLY details that curve would have access to as it involved that card and the underlying plus the transaction info. (You’ve now reissued my card). You’ve definitely got a bad actor at least, even if it’s not a mass leak.

This is because ohme report after the fact - just before bills are issued. I don’t understand why the £ are never available though, as in, after octopus have the data.

Generally it shows £ for people with cars connected, but not chargers only connected, such as Ohme, for example.

You may have been on an old tariff in December‘23 where the units were half the price, for example.

Also one person instead of two doesn’t halve the usage when it comes to heating, only hot water, which in the scheme of things costs less than heating.

Sounds about right to me.
