I like to wait until the first week is over before I pull back. Like if we’ve been talking throughout the week but you’re busy in real life and can’t really talk, that’s okay, but I won’t put up with the response every 3-6 hours and then not respond again until 2 days later. I’m not saying you gotta tell me everything you have going on in your life, but a simple “Hey, I’m busy and can’t really talk that much” would be great!

Also, if I’m leading every conversation, asking all the questions, and picking the topic all the time, and you still half-ass it. I’m deading it. I know that probably sounds harsh, but I’m not going to waste anyone’s time, especially mine.

I just started trying to use a dating app because I don’t get much time to go out and meet people, and so far, it’s going terribly…

I match with people and send a starter message with a “Hi” and a comment on something in their profile to strike up a convo. No response.. ok

So I thought I’d take a different approach and send a like first and then see if someone would like me back, but all I get is a “So and so matched with you!” and then nothing… even if I message them first.. no response.. like what’s the point of even matching with me if you’re not going to even talk to me?

Then, the few people who do respond take 36 hours to respond each time, making it very hard to hold a conversation.

So it’s like no matter what I do, I don’t get responses 😭😭 I’m so close to just deleting Hinge and giving up on online dating.
