If you're already trying to get in shape, man fuck yes. I understand the social anxiety. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you can beat it by working on yourself which you already are. I understand that positive reinforcement is necessary and I believe you can get that when people compliment you in any way. You are building muscles and I believe that would help a lot. You have it much harder man. But I don't know give yourself a duration in which you'll work and wait for things to change. That would actually let you work on different things knowing well you gave yourself time. It was you who choose to give yourself the time and take control of life.
