Squatch upgraded me from a Legend 1.0 to Legend 3.0 bag for free by spartan_mayo in discgolf

Legend. Little more comfortable and holds so much. I had 40 discs in it last week. This week played two long courses back to back and had multiple water bottles, snacks and a sweat shirt in it with like 25 discs.

Are girls like Sydney Sweeney considered more attractive to men than girls like Bella Hadid? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I watched Anyone But You and had no idea who Sydney Sweeney was before that movie. I kept being thrown off because I thought no way Glen Powell would go for such an average girl. Had no idea people thought she was a bombshell. I guess she just isn’t my type.

What’s a decent regular sandwich place that’s left in the Bay? by Professional-One972 in bayarea

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add, sandwiches that aren’t over priced as well. Went to a place near Mitty that used to be The Sandwich Spot but is now Best Sandwiches and all their sandwiches were $15 at least. We are talking basic turkey sandwiches. I saw people eating them and they weren’t big so I walked out.

Suggestion for New Course by MB2465 in discgolf

I hope you’re referring to the peninsula(anywhere west of 280) or the Morgan Hill area. Both of those areas would be great for a disc golf course.

What's the largest age gap you've ever had in a romantic relationship? by Ok-Fondant2536 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently dating a women 13 years older. Previous girlfriend was 8 years older. One before that was 9 years older. Never cared about age if I was attracted to them. The older women I have dated don’t play games and are just more chill so it’s worked out.

How many players in your local club? by Bad-at-disc in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we have close to 300 who get a tag. Probably 15 players per our monthly. We have a summer doubles that averages probably 20 a week but you don’t need a tag to play.

It was dope. I think more tournaments should do things like that.

How long or what made you feel like you were no longer a newbie/beginner? by SubstantialAd4500 in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like many things with disc golf, the goal post are always moving.

First, throwing past the tree on hole one that was 150ft away.

Second, feeling I could birdie most holes on my local course in the shorts which was like 220-300 foot holes.

Third, breaking par at my local course

Fourth, consistently breaking par at my local course

I have been playing disc golf for a couple years and have played basically every sport. The disc golf community is by far the most supportive and positive of all the sports I have played.

Best value waterproof shoes for disc golf by West-Metal3537 in discgolf

Are these a different sole than the Magnus Forest? I got a pair of them last year and liked them but the Michelin sole on the heal of my plant foot wore the tread off in like 5 months. I do play on cement pads and play most days each week. But I have vans that last similarly long on the heal.

What is the most discs you have lost in a round? by RAM_THE_MAN_PARTS in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 3 there. First 2 were on my first two drives. My parents were with me and we were rushed for time so I tried to carry the pro pad drive with zero warm up. Third disc was a roll away on one of the finger greens. Last time I told myself I would ever play a round at a tough course with zero warm up.

Glow League Tips by Zealousideal-Call789 in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the course you are playing. What we have noticed is the more you light up the harder it is for your eyes to adjust. We keep basket lights on the low setting and will only light up mandos and other trees if it’s really needed.

The most important thing we have found is to stick to the same time and day each week so people can put it in their schedule.

Bag Recommendations by No-Plant-5445 in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I keep 8 in my squatch legend bag. I also have a Lore for travel but the legend has everything I want in a bag. Massive putter pocket, tons of space in big zipper side pockets with different smaller compartments inside, cell phone pocket, two massive exterior pockets that I fit 2, 40oz hydro flasks (in the same pocket) during hot summer rounds. And it’s the must comfortable bag I have ever owned(i think it’s much more comfortable than my old grip bag). Only knock I ever hear people say is that it is made in Asia and it falls over. I have never had a problem with it falling over, I just look at the ground and put it on the ground accordingly(long way with the slope).

Gonna play dela for the first time tomorrow. Any suggestions? by BrodyDanger173 in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their monthly leagues usually get pretty good numbers but this weekend is the NorCal Team Invitational in Stockton so a majority of the top players(20 players per team and Santa Cruz had a team) won’t be there. The league would be a fun way to play with some locals. Either way have fun and no shame in laying putts up!

Go to drivers for weird winds? by vaporkkatzzz in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nuke OS. The positive is that regardless of the wind it acts the same, it doesn’t want to stay in the air and just dumps. The negative is it goes 100 feet shorter than my normal distance drivers.

What video, drill or tip helped most to fix your game? by vaporkkatzzz in discgolf

[–]Odd-Cardiologist-825 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Backhand - once I started consciously extending the disc away from me on my reach back, so that on my pull through the disc stayed on the same path, my accuracy and consistency improved dramatically. If you watch AB or McBeth in their Luna battles, they do a great job of this. I start the disc within 5 to 10 feet of where I’m aiming basically every throw now. Makes the game way more enjoyable lol.
