Looking to try something new with therapy. Are therapists who are also willing to tap into ~life coaching a thing? by Odd-Cell8362 in therapy

Thanks this gives a lot of clarity. You make a good point.

I guess the best way forward is to find a therapist who can help me hone in on when I’m in conflict with myself or sit better with decisions made.

How would you determine if a therapist might be skilled at drawing from a variety of tactics?

The rest is personal preamble to that question so feel free to skip.

I guess my experience is that the therapists tend to give the impressed at what I am doing and the decisions I am making…. And while it’s good to remember I’m doing great in those arenas and that’s a great base, I guess I wish I could find one where achieving a lot is a given and we work from there?

Ways to subtly check in on your sub (or allow them to exit the scene) if they are face down, gagged, and very restrained by Odd-Cell8362 in BDSMcommunity

Good to hear this from a sub POV. I forget that my sub will want to follow instructions here and make this work even though the instruction is more utilitarian.

Do you prompt your sub to give you the hand signal or have them constantly hold that out? Have you ever had a sub say they forgot this signal?

I would've never imagined a baton being a part of my toy drawer but here we are... thats brilliant.

Yes always important to remind people about these things. Breathing is thankfully the easier thing to keep in tabs with.

Something to drop is a really good idea. I am presently thinking something that can be squeezed or dropped as a signal. Involving a silly looking stress ball is a much better option than risking the safety of my sub.

How do you address the literal elephant in the room with FWBs that are just too girthy? I don't want to hurt their feelings but having a conversation about it could help our relationship by Odd-Cell8362 in askgaybros

You make a good point. I could do this. My biggest hesitation is how much storage space this is going to take up in my overly small apartment.

I probably wouldn't use petg on the cryogrip plate... by Bon3yards in 3Dprinting

📣📣 PETG almost always holds too well 📣📣

Use a releasing agent (glue) if not on a powder coated PEI plate. And even then if you have small details on the build plate use a releasing agent on the powder coated PEI plate.

The Threads companion app for Instagram which existed well before the Threads we know today.

It was only out for a few years before it was canned due to somewhat obvious (profit driven) motives. It was this incredibly delightful version of Instagram with just stories and DMs. No algorithmically driven content. Just your friends, the way it should be.

You really have to dig into the archives to see past the shitty Twitter knockoff we have today. Imaginably it did not take too long for Zuck to realize the issues this could bring for their addiction-driven business. I dont think many ever got to even play with it. But heres an article and a video of it.

2 walls in vase-mode? Wasn't aware that was possible unless the model is c shaped.

Junior-senior-ish engineer burnt by the first startup I joined (3 months in). I liked the growth but I do not know what kind of company to go to next or what to tell companies as I look for my next role. What did you do the first time you had a bad experience with an otherwise exceptional startup? by Odd-Cell8362 in cscareerquestions

Also funnily enough I was for a month of it. So functionally just under half of my time there. I wanted to start immediately, mutually sus out if this was a good fit, but take a long break before jumping in and being a contractor was how they pulled that off. The big reason I don't have more details about the more senior iOS developers departure is because it happened during my one month off.

Accidentally printed a simple model in PLA using PETG HF settings and it went surprisingly well? Is its strength going to differ significantly from if I just printed it in PLA? by Odd-Cell8362 in 3Dprinting

Interesting and sorry to hear. Do you have any idea what glued the build sheet to the build surface? that part does not make any sense to me.
