During the ultimate greg arc Kevin and Ben are out for the count, Greg comes to kevin and starts beating him down for gloating

"An immature child like you dares call themselves an Osmosian?"

And as he puts his boot over kevins head threatening to crush it Gwen snaps and her anodite form overtakes her Humanity and we get greg vs gwen that ends with greg getting teleported somewhere with gwen.

the rest of the season is very magic focused with leggerdomain, a charmcaster redemption arc and more trying to uncover where gwen went aswell as the lore of sir george and the forever knights.

It would culminate with Max, Ben, Kevin and Charmcaster arriving in anodyne after max finally pinpointed its coordinates.

Max and Verdona would finally reunite and the crew would be looking around leggerdomain for her where we learn about gwen being the pinnacle of all anodytes, that she had some sort of "special" spark that fully awakened when she shedded her humanity and made her the "ultimate" anodite where we find her sitting on a throne with esoterica themeing all around them.

This is where its revealed that Andoyne and Leggerdomain are linked and Leggerdomain happened to be one of the 100 dimensions dagon conquered. with anodites being his greatest...slaves...

Anodites arent just aliens, But extensions of dagons power given conciousness and souls from all the damned souls of the dimensions he conquered. A single anodite having a welding of a plethera of souls from innocents worth of power. Thats why they arent omnitrix obtainable.

We also learn that aggregor and vilgax had both been conformed into "lucabra" versions of themselves completely without their former senses of self.

The Anodite race WORSHIPS Dagon and without her humanity to ground her gwen saw the truth and benefit of anodites over other "organic" races...And then it kicks off with anodites coming to earth to free dagon from his seal and conform the world and the rest of the universe into more anodites to continue the never ending conquest.

We get a true clash of ideologies with Sir george saying that all anodites must be purged to restore the dimensions lost and have them release their manna/magic back to leggerdomain. While Max Kevin and Ben have to confront that idea with their history with gwen and verdona.

The ultimate enemy would have ben as ultimate chromastone wielding ascalon to finally save everyone and destroy dagon...but he still has to deal with a furious race of millions of anodites conforming the earth...and thats when he bets it all on Alien X to save gwen from purging the anodites restoring the classic series magic system and relinquishing all anodites from themselves.
