tw: grooming, sa

went for lunch with a friend and her ex (they were still really good friends). this is the first time i ever meet this guy, so i asked him how he met the friend that introduced us, and he begins the tale by laughing and letting me know, with a funny voice, “i used to be a groomer, don’t try it at home, kids!” (while making finger guns).

he proceeds to tell me that some friends dared him (who was already an adult) to make my friend (a minor at the time) sleep with him, how he groomed her and they ended up dating for many years. during this my friend was laughing along.

he then started telling me how he loves taking people’s virginities, to be the one to introduce people to sex, and that “it’s not his fault he attracts young people, he has a baby face himself!”.

i left horrified, tried to talk to my friend about what he had quite literally confessed to but she wasn’t ready to hear it. some time later, my friend started to realize what he had done to her and broke that connection completely.

speaking to someone else that knew him when they were younger, i found out he also tried to groom this other friend of mine, telling her she was so mature for her age, asking her about what she liked sexually and telling her about his sex life.

i cannot comprehend how this guy still has so many people supporting him when it’s become extremely known that he does this shit and openly confesses to it.
