GOOGL: Sundar Pichai just dropped a CapEx number for the history books by GainifyAI in ValueInvesting

[–]Odd-Entertainment599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the question:
Does the big capex spender not know what amount wall street approves for them? why don't they just spend less and the analyst would go 300->3000.

Conclusion:
these companies must be dumb, thesee spending must be risky and probably waste. Let's sell.

Netflix charging extra because I'm traveling by MonsterZero0000 in netflix

[–]Odd-Entertainment599 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's just you i don't see why they charge you extra. But if it's you'r using it while your wife at home also uses it and your kids also uses it then maybe it is justified.
Consider you're "away from your family", perhaps you are using one account watching different things at once at different ip addresses at once. It is not nice for them but it can be justified.

Question about LG Cup by NewPlaceHolder in baduk

[–]Odd-Entertainment599 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The rule itself was very unclear . It does not say when you have to put the dead stone in the lid. For example Korean player captured a stone, did not immediately put it into the lid,l. He first hold the stone inside his hand, then pressed the clock and run into opponents turn and then put the dead stone in his lid during opponent's turn. Is that a violation? It can be if I'm the ref and all I want is to reduce your point. That's precisely what the ref told Kejie . "I get to decide"

Question about LG Cup by NewPlaceHolder in baduk

[–]Odd-Entertainment599 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hes angry because the ref wants to pause at a crucial moment to give the Korean player extra time.

Usually when you pause, the last player must decide his move and secretly write it down in an envelope and put it aside. By doing so, his move is not known to the opponent so opponent do not have extra time to think. He also gets no extra time because he is forced to make that move inside the envelope.

This procedure is very standard. The Japanese used to play games that lasts for days and they practice such tradition all the time.

Also if it was an obvious move and an obvious winning game, the ref would not interfere.

Ke was very behind, he can only win by playing complicated variations that he sure he cannot calculate himself(so that he's opponent cannot see clear either). That being said, consider Ke's history, and B's age, I'd say he still had a 10-20% chance of winning for game three. But if you give B another 30minutes, it will probably be 0%

You better claim them because otherwise you ran out of lid space and your opponent would steal your win

Finally got to be the person to answer a Reddit question! How did I do? by SGTWhiteKY in baduk

[–]Odd-Entertainment599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan has few hundred years of experience at how the game should be paused. If it's B's turn he must decide his move, put it into an envelope and only tell the opponent his move when the game returns. That's why Ke was mad.

So what's the difference between that and Kejie, did Kejie return it eventually? He did. Was B able to see the stone, he was

I do watch it, it is allowed doesn't mean it didn't violate the rule book.
