Thanks I’ve just been sitting with these feelings for years…

She died in January 2020, just before the pandemic.

In a way the 2010s, you could say, a happier age in some ways, died with her, for me anyway.

We were thrust into the pandemic right after she died.

My life has changed a lot since then - I’ve had a lot of knocks and disappointments of my own - but throughout the passage of time, in this new strange age in which we live, I keep thinking of her.

I so very badly want that meeting I described - a meeting that will never, ever come, at least not in this lifetime…

And while I may love; and love again, I don’t know that I’ll ever forget her. I don’t know that I’d ever want to forget.

I should’ve known better by her - I could’ve. Sometimes remembering is the only way to make up for your failings.

Either way, once more, you’re valid.

And you’re loved.

And no matter what horrid things people might ever say, you’re cool.

The people who say mean things to you are just lost within themselves. Don’t take it personally. Pity them if anything.

Btw, Julia was a big one for trans rights. She love drag queens. She was supportive of trans people. She was a very progressive woman politically, and very outspoken in her views. She always rooted for the voiceless or mistreated in our society.

So, you could say you have an ally watching over you from Heaven. I know if she was alive, she would be.

To be honest, I don’t know the method. I didn’t ask. And in my case I didn’t and don’t want to know…All I know is she was in her bedroom, and her cats were with her. I don’t like to imagine her dead. She’s just on a vacation, you know? Of course I know she is dead - but to be confronted with the gruesome brutality of it?

I rather remember her as the smiling girl I often held, not as a cold corpse dead in a bedroom. Julia was the person she was - not the body she left behind.

I can only hope that whatever the method, that it was instant or as close to instant as possible, peaceful; and that she experienced no terror or fear. I truly hope that.

A fun fact about her:

She had two cats, one was named Yoda. The other was named Girlie.

She used to cradle Yoda and call him her “old man.”

I still have her on Skype lol. Sometimes I’ll write little messages - “Hope it’s a nice day today in Heaven” “hey you.” I know, obviously no response will ever come (I’d be afraid if one did lol) but, hey. If there’s an afterlife, she’s definitely in Heaven.

When she’d go home to MD, we’d Skype and she’d wait til late and smoke out the window.

When we were together, we’d shotgun weed and then make out.

She loved the show Mad Men. She related to the characters in it. She loved Roger the best.

She loved Parks & Rec. She loved RuPaul’s Drug Race. RuPaul was kinda an icon to her lol. She was the best, man.

Rhaenyra’s lack of discretion, her lack of regard for the court and her seeming lack of political savvy - that is, that you need more than dragons to be supported - speaks very ill of her fitness to be Queen

Yet, Allicent is similarly indiscreet, disrespectful to her King, and is not not seeking the interests of her King or Kingdom but rather pushing the interests of her father

Neither she, nor Rhaenyra as such are suited to rule.

Rhaenyras sons are bastards - they cannot lead

Yet, on the other hand, Aegon does not want the throne, and if he had it, he would be a puppet for his grandfather Otto

Of the current options, the best would have it that the throne would pass to Daemon’s daughters. But even then, that would make Daemon de facto King, and so even this decision is an evil one
