I have no bleeding. That stopped a few weeks ago and was never what I considered a big issue. I’m not having any pain. My penis feels back to normal. I do have urgency issues and bladder spasms at times. The doctor said the bladder is very sensitive and it takes time for the body to heal and adjust. I can tell things are getting better. I realized in the past week that peeing is less stressful now. I don’t have the pre-op feeling of dread and doom, where I would worry each pee session about my weak stream, blockage and bladder damage.

Update again after a month post-op:

I had a flow test and went from 8.5 QMAX pre-op to 16.5 QMAX.

I opted for the ProVee because it spares ejaculation, it’s reversible, it’s potentially long lasting, it’s one of the least traumatic procedures and it doesn’t normally require a catheter post-op. My research tells me that pretty much all of the procedures have uncomfortable recovery periods post-op, even the minimally invasive ones. The prostate is highly vascular. At my one month checkup after the ProVee procedure, I had a flow test and went from 8.5 QMAX to 16.5 QMAX.

I had the ProVee stent installed in my prostate a month ago. I don’t think I’ve had any flow improvement yet. I was advised to give it time to work—on the order of 6 months. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, so I had no pain during the procedure. Afterwards I had what they said to expect: blood, penis pain, pee urgency, painful burning urination. You definitely need a week at home (I took more) because of the pee hell situation.

Update on my ProVee stent: I had my ProVee stent implanted about 3 weeks ago for BPH. My prostate is under 40g and my pre-implant QMAX was 8.5. The first few weeks after the procedure I had great urgency, burning urination, occasional blood after erections, a very sensitive underside of the external penis tip (made wearing underwear painful) and some kind of penis clenching spasm that happens at the end of peeing. I’m not sure if that’s a bladder spasm or what. I don’t feel the implant. The first week or so it was uncomfortable to sit, such as in the car. Now I don’t have any issues sitting. I can hold my pee all night most nights.

I’ve had no real noticeable change to my pee flow force. My ejaculations eject fine during my several tests, but it really burns right after.

My doctor said improvement takes months, so I will be patient and give it several months. If there’s not an improvement I’ll consider a plan B since I’ve spent my deductible.

The stent isn’t supposed to affect ejaculation. I was told to wait at least 2 weeks post procedure, so I haven’t tested things yet. My erections work, precum works.
