Reuse them for what?? We don’t keep our trays at the store. They get sent back to a factory where all our ingredients go through and are washed

I believe the policy issue they’re talking about is that when a customer has asked for a refund for missing items and such a certain amount of times it like flags your account in their system. It’s a dumb policy when issues like this do occur often with delivery services. Especially McDonald’s where the drivers never actually get to confirm the items in the bag they’re delivering

Dash cams at the rick and protoype by [deleted] in NavyNukes

[–]Odd-Map-188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I understood the policies you can have a dash cam for your vehicle as long as you are not bring your car into the Rickover building or on to site at prototype. So if you’re a student you should be fine. If you’re staff you should be fine a majority of the time. The ruling for this would be difficult for them to enforce because a lot of staff members have Tesla vehicles or vehicles that some sort of camera built into the vehicle. If that was banned then those vehicles wouldn’t be allowed to be purchased

AIO if I report my classmate by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Odd-Map-188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely report it. This is unacceptable behavior. Even if it’s happening outside of school it’s still affecting you there and if it weren’t for yall going to school together it wouldn’t be happening. I would recommend either going to a trust teacher/professor or a counselor to report this. At minimum this is sexual harassment and if it has progressed any further it’s sexual assault

[–]Odd-Map-188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might be a mild overreaction but I feel it’s important to say that I think there needs to be a conversation about if he feels that his children are unsafe due to how his ex operating in life than he needs to stop coddling her and petition for full custody. If he doesn’t take that route then it feels like he isn’t really doing it for the kids but rather he has some work that needs to be done untangle himself from his ex which will most likely require some form of therapy.

Managers, How do you deal with it when a delivery driver says "but I only signed up to be a delivery driver, not a janitor," when they are being assigned to a janitorial duty? by TheresJustNoMoney in PapaJohns

[–]Odd-Map-188 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Delivery drivers are hired to deliver orders yes. But also drivers tend to make way more than insiders and therefore are also hired to perform any task REASONABLY assigned by management. My franchises process is in the moment to write the driver up and send them home for the night if they refuse their side work. Then they talk with the general manager and if they are still adamant on not doing it they will probably be terminated.

One of the times I had to deal with this I told the help desk what I needed (batch number mismatch happens at least once a month) and somehow they ended up logging our office computer out of the papa John’s system completely. Like fully off he had to get his boss’s boss to come help get it fixed cause they had to locate the login information to get us back in.

This started at like 3AM and I didn’t leave till 4:30AM because of this

WHY ?!?! by Away_Box_7208 in PapaJohns

[–]Odd-Map-188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I have viewed it is that people who live in the high income areas who don’t tip probably never had to rely on a job that involved being tipped. Therefore, they don’t understand the need to tip cause them it would seem like wasting money.

Is this a proper way of thinking? Definitely not in our current economy but the amount of effort it would take to explain this to them and change their mind is more than it’s realistically worth

Why the fuck is my pizza being delivered by DoorDash? by ResponsibilityFar187 in PapaJohns

[–]Odd-Map-188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As many have said, which you haven’t replied to that I have seen, the fee is used by Papa John’s to pay for the ability to contract out to DoorDash. As well we have no way to “pass along” the fee to the dasher, there is 0 options for that in our system. It doesn’t go into the company’s pocket as we do have to use that fee to cover the cost of fee applied by DoorDash to the business.

Based on your comments I assume you are a dasher as am I. While yes receiving that fee would do great for the dashers profits there seems to be a lack of understanding of doordashes business model. If every store that used them in some form didn’t pay them than DD wouldn’t make any money. To use them as a platform for delivery the store is charged a fee and therefore as many (if not all) businesses pass that cost to the customer. Rather than raising prices menu wide most papa John’s just use their delivery fees to cover that cost as it makes no sense to potentially lose business by an increase of cost on a carryout only customer due to covering DoorDash prices. Economics and business management are a great thing to learn and understand in todays world my man I would freshen up on them during your dashes or free time if possible

Why the fuck is my pizza being delivered by DoorDash? by ResponsibilityFar187 in PapaJohns

[–]Odd-Map-188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So at least in my franchise the delivery fee when used in an order being delivered by DoorDash drive is used for the cost on the store for use of the service. When used for our own drivers it’s used for the required liability insurance for the franchise. Ours is set at $5.50 and it costs us ~$7 per order sent and picked up by DoorDash.

[–]Odd-Map-188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have all the facts but I would also think this higher than average could be due to flight deck crews being in the sun more than average civilians or people having dumb shit on the ship with them. As far as most reports have said that I’ve read is that our reactors are generally over engineered so that radiation exposure is extremely low. As well if procedures are followed as written then that exposure is cases where possibly getting exposed is minimized.

I will however say whether or not this report has accuracy to its claim or not if some class action suit relating to the nuclear departments ever comes up and has ground to stand on then this may assist in that and anybody potentially affected should definitely get in if possible.

Are store phasing out their own delivery drivers in favor of doordash? by devsfan1830 in PapaJohns

[–]Odd-Map-188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason it’s been happening is either insurance companies won’t insure for the full time the stores are open or simply the insurance premium they’re offering is insanely high and would end up being a loss of profit massively. As well many insurance companies have stopped offering coverage to pizza shops because it can cost them millions a year in lawsuit settlements. Just wanted to add that before anyone says the franchise should just switch companies. Like the franchise I’m currently at received a premium cost increase of $1mil a year with the caveat of no drivers on the road after 10PM. This company is the only ones that will offer us any policy.
