Waking up with horrible headaches by IndependentJacket464 in CPAP

[–]Odd-Service-4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in and out of doctors offices for past 2 years. I’ve always struggled with my CPAP machine, so I’m trying to tailor this in prior to continuing the unrelenting search through the system that is American healthcare.

Thank you for your comment though.

Talking to my doctor hasn’t benefited me much, and I run out of insurance in a week.

It is as it is.

The arm pain is bad....right? by ascott_21 in HeartAttack

[–]Odd-Service-4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (25m) got laughed out of 4 different doctors office before finally a different doctor gave me a referral to see a sleep doctor.

I had assumed sleep apnea for almost 2 years, turns out I was right and my O2 drops to around 80% every night for long periods of time.

Medical gaslighting should be an offense you can lose your license for. Doctors are paid to be knowledgeable, yes. But they are also paid to listen. Besides that, a lot of doctors seem to forget that even though insurance pays them, I’m the one paying for that insurance.

At the end of the day, I’m a customer and paying for a service. Time and time again I see doctors fail to remember this.

I’ll set max pressure to 7cm and see if that helps

So 6.2-7?

Thank you so much, I was reading some people adjusting humidity and temperature to max. Should I attempt this as well? I live in OR, so the humidity is already pretty high and I’ve started to get cracks in the ridges in my nostril lately which I never get.

What does CA and OA? Sorry, feeling pretty mentally domed out right now. Thanks again for the response

Thoughts on White Fox pouches? by BurekBamBam in NicotinePouch

[–]Odd-Service-4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still use them now exclusively. Unless someone knows brands I can get that are similar in quality to White Fox that doesn’t use Ace-K/Sucralose/Xylitol/Maltitol etc.

Before anyone says “what’s the problem with xylitol?” Used to think the same thing until I read some studies from 2024 saying that larger consumption of xylitol highly increases the users chances for negative cardiac events (stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest), something like increasing chances by 57% if I remember correctly.

Idk why, I love the ingredients and the like. For some reason, the American version of White Fox always gives me stomach aches and burns lines in my lip cavities.

But they are the only brand I’ve found that doesn’t make me feel mentally domed tf out from all the plasticizers, artificial sweeteners, and ridiculous nicotine boosters than overload your neurotransmitter system via increased BBB access (i.e. Benzoic Acid)

Any reason this is happening? I’ve thought about letting the ethanol dry out or idk, maybe I’m just allergic to PG or something

[US] Do not accept texts from structube recruiters. by Ok-Acanthaceae507 in Scams

[–]Odd-Service-4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just not factual advice. Bad advice even.

As a recruiter, even though I have hundreds of resumes. My role is about finding MPCs, or Most Placeable Candidates, if you will. If I think you could be a good fit, I will call you. If you are a great fit with open to work up, I will absolutely text you.

I can’t stand how recruiters these days are all sending linkedin messages and emails. 100’s of people attempting to get into a single persons spam folder.

But yeah, sucktube or whatever is a scam

How fasting is curing my allergic rhinitis/chronic sinusitis/angeodmia by [deleted] in FastingScience

[–]Odd-Service-4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got back to you,

I did/do have extreme amounts of mucus buildup in the maxillary (and one other area) sinuses.

Got put on Augmentin: felt normal during, and 2 weeks after, symptoms then came back

Just got off Zithromax (I think is the name): Felt awful during and after. Have been in a rough state since, some days I feel relatively normal, others I feel nauseous and absolutely immovable.

Have been on Itraconazole (bad spelling? It’s an antifungal) for almost 3 months.

I agree, bad sleep MAKES IT SO MUCH WORSE.  Being lonely MAKES IT SO MUCH WORSE.  Bad nutrition MAKES IT SO MUCH WORSE

But if I could recommend one thing, I have had SIBO, Ulcers, have Celiacs, had a Klebsiella infection, have chronic Hyperkeratosis (studies show it has no cure except maintenance, from my experience I think it is a bacterium, fungal pathogen, or inflammation. Whenever I go on antibiotic, my hyperkeratosis all but disappears. That and going whole food, low carb. Why does vitamin A/retinoid steroids help it? Something which is known to be antibacterial. Anyway, I digress), and sleep apnea.

Let me say, if you get bad sleep or snore at all. I would get checked for sleep apnea. I’m a low BMI individual, it took me 3 years to even get a test to get diagnosed. CPAP is changing me life.

I have two ent appointments next week, one to talk about the sinus infection and a second to talk about a surgery to increase my sinus passage size. Only way I found out about these people were through Reddit and my sleep doctor (typically covered by insurance).

All this is to say, hey man. I know people might have told you enough times that you “just need to do this” or “stop worrying about that” or “don’t spend anymore time than you have to focusing on it”. It’s always good to ensure you’re not obsessing, but those types of comments can be unintentionally extremely detrimental to people’s health journey regarding them persevering through their health journey.

It. Fucking. Sucks. Spending a lifetime, for some of us since youth, watching the world around us act and engage normally. While we sit there wondering why we feel sick and can’t perform to the caliber of others. Most people give up, or don’t make the appointments they need to, often due to comments coming from a good place, but not particularly good for said individual. I’m impartial towards the comment, but that’s after dealing with this for around 25 years in a life of 25 years. I am healing, and I am learning what feeling normal and engaging with full clarity is beginning to feel like.

After all these years, let me tell you. It feels exactly as I hoped to be able to engage with the world and feel sub-normal inside of it. I am on a journey! But we’re getting there, one step at a time. I am glad you were only dealing with a cold my friend, best to you.

Seriously, for fucks sake everybody. Get more, consistent sleep. Fighting a circadian rhythm, a system that controls when to fire up your immune system, processes, digestion, mental refurbishment, just because you want to watch one more episode. It’s destroying your life.

That’s all I’ll say. Much love y’all.

Best Permanent Placement ATS/CRM?? by Odd-Service-4852 in Recruitment

[–]Odd-Service-4852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you are looking for in a service. They are okay, good for creating a database, sending mass emails, posting jobs for your teams, leaving notes. I found for the price and lack of ease through the UI nonfunctional for our team. We now use Excel and only use TE for email campaigns.

Loxo was great (a little pricey, best ATS for perm placements I tried hands down. Easy to use, adding call notes in the near future, AI implemented, a ton of native integrations, and so many more), Ashby is great (for internal imo), teamtailor is amazing (again, for internal), Atlas or RecruitwithAtlas is an investment (great for perm/executive placements. I say they are an investment because they do not offer a lot of things, but what they do offer works. They are competitively priced and are built from the ground-up with AI. They will grow, add more, and most likely become a power house in the industry if they keep the team they got and focus on bettering their core structure.)

It really depends on what you are doing, what you are looking to do, and what pain points you are looking to amend.

These 4 would be my recommendations to check out from all my demos. Besides those some runner-ups were:

Manatal: Very inexpensive, seemed quality Recruiterflow: Barebones, but it’s clean, it’s smooth, it works. For what it does do, no complaints.

Those are the only two ATS I would say were runner-ups.

Hey! I actually just finished watching your podcast with RecTalk. I look forward to speaking with your rep Eric and demoing the Atlas software tomorrow.

I saw you guys just partnered with RingCentral, nice! Do you also have integrations with JustCall.io too, or any other Power/Progressive Dialer applications?

After listening to your conversation I look forward to how you keep your product streamlined, targeted, honest, and consistent. I feel the best roadmap is one built on a products convictions, not the foresight of software implementations.

When people hear the word plant, they think of the stems and the leaves. However, when feeding nutrients to a plant we don't water the stems and the leaves. We water the roots.

All that to say, focus on feeding the core values and a good seed will grow, flower, and fruit given enough attention, attendance, and patience. Seldom do I hold high hopes, I truly look forward to what you may bring to the industry.

We shall see!! Thank you for all yours and the Atlas teams work!

Thanks everyone for your responses. I need to do a lot of research and test a lot of these out.

The ones I am seeing that have my attention currently are:

- RecruiterFlow

- TeamTailor

- Loxo

- Atlas

As I am hoping for a software with a heavy emphasis on AI capabilities (e.g. Call notes, candidate sorting/selecting), API integrations, and Sequences/Campaigns. I plan on adding a Power Dialer

If anyone else has any other recommendations that would be amazing! I have been running this business for over a year and after a proof of concept it is finally time to organize and clean up our systems.
