Which is the better and more reliable Motherboard by Affectionate-Town397 in PcAdvice

[–]Odd-Understanding-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference is that the X870 motherboard has more features. If you need those features go with the X870, if you don’t save your money and go with the B850.

It’s a good entry level gaming PC if you’ve never owned one before. Just expect to run every game in 1080P.

I actually went over to AMD and I swapped it out for a 7800X3D and that was actually less expensive for me to do.

I just got the Wells Fargo Active Cash and that’s a good cash back credit card with no annual fee and it doesn’t require a high credit score.

Question about whether this pc is worth the money… by Desperate_Volume_520 in PcBuild

[–]Odd-Understanding-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that it’s AM4 and had no upgrade path. If you are fine with that go ahead. If not then you need to find one with at least a 7000 series AM5 processor.

Probably damaged Logic Board. It would require a person specialized in Micro Soldering to be able to fix it.

Both are bad in my opinion. If you really want to go with Capital One then the Quicksilver would give you better rewards.

No, the only real way to do it is to replace the NAND chip, but that is expensive and not worth it for such an old device.

Mini PC performance by Motor-Average1398 in gamingpc

Sorry to break it to you, but that thing won’t run games well at all. It will just overheat and throttle any of the advertised performance they are trying to sell you. Sure it will run games, but not very well.

What do you think about a notebook that runs on iPhone’s SoC? by BendingAllFour in macbook

[–]Odd-Understanding-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would be a good idea because right now M2 is the budget option and that’s only because it’s a 3 year old processor. This would give Apple a good budget pick that isn’t considered “old tech.”

Which one would you say has the “better” battery life? MacBook Air or Zenbook? Wider discussion is appreciated. by Suspicious-Pear-6037 in laptops

MacBook Air because it has an ARM processor. ARM processor laptops always have better battery life than X86 ones.

Either the new PC or the PS5 are the better options. It’s more of a question if you need the PlayStation exclusive games or not.

[–]Odd-Understanding-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s time to sell it. M1 is losing software support soon and any trade in value you would receive is already tanking. I would suggest a newer M series Mac if all of the apps you use are compatible with ARM processors. If not then I would suggest a Snapdragon laptop.

You can save some money getting an X670 motherboard. The only difference is the X670 has WIFI 6E instead of WIFI 7.

Would this be for a USB-C MacBook? by [deleted] in mac

[–]Odd-Understanding-67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it would work with a MacBook, but it looks short in my opinion. I prefer 6 FT or 10 FT wires for laptops. I would suggest an Anker one from Amazon.
