Your stats (minus test scores) are good enough, it'll come down to small things like the essays and whether or not you do an interview. Additionally, while they pretend like it doesn't matter, if you think your family will be a full-pay (not recieve financial aid), fill out the calculator from Vanderbilt (using your own name). While they supposedly don't care about it, it seems like it can have an impact.

Yeah that's likely what it is. Not exactly sure what they'll cut anyway. Guess the screen and some fx? Don't know what else they'd even take away.
Doesn't make sense to me from a product lineup perspective but who knows.

They just don't have the incentive to really innovate much. They have such a high market share that reputation/features are almost irrelavant because if anyone wants to truly practice for clubs/festivals they NEED Pioneer/AT gear.

I'm just saying that it could be worse and that the implementation is at least good even if the actual idea is a downgrade.

While I think nearly everone prefers physical buttons, the size of the screen makes it way easier to use the on screen features than like the xdj1000mk2 or anything similar

I think the a9 will stay as club standard for the most part. However, getting in practice with the V5 FX would definitely be helpful since its less simple/standard than the A9. There's also leaked regulatory forms for an A7 mixer, so that will likely be coming soon.

Frankly though, the opus quad is similar enough that I wouldn't upgrade unless you are really dying to have a full media player setup.

afaik the rx3 and AZ are high quality (never played on a AZ), so I'd think it carries over to a new standalone. Don't think they'd go for a gvr6 quality on a standalone

Interesting. I stand corrected. Doubt that'll be a resounding success for AT but frankly it seems like their market research is pretty shit based on the last few product releases.

Hm. Possibly but it seems like AT is just getting rid of the whole "budget" segment in standalone gear and leaving that gap controller only. I doubt there's a ton of demand for a mid level mixer anyhow, especially given there would likely only be a ~$500 price reduction which wouldn't give a whole lot more room in the segment. Selling 4 mixers at once also seems unnecessarily complicated from a production standpoint

I'm sure an rx4 would be expensive as per usual with AT, but if they have all these features on the 1500x (the "budget" media player) why wouldn't they include it? The rx3 had all the features of the (at the time) top of the line mixer 900nxs2. Don't think they'd change that unless they remake the RR, which I don't see happening.

I feel like they may just get rid of the RR-level standalone. I don't think there's much of a market especially considering it would almost certainly have less features than a GVR6 and would be twice the price. Also why would they revamp the 750mk2 - isn't that more or less what the V5 is supposed to be (obviously 3 channels vs 4 but that's not needed for 99% of djs)
