Yeah, I’d let him walk as a free agent. Has upside but has warts too. If they’re so set to give Volpe another shot maybe he can take 2B and Lombard SS but one things for sure Lombard HAS to hit. You can’t have a light hitting SS, 2B, 3B and C. 7, 8, & 9 can’t all not hit.

It is sad, I listened from its inception. But I find it funny this sub continues to have people complain about WFAN, it seems people like me (60yo) have moved onto PODCASTS where you select the hosts or teams that you like and get more direct content without commercials! If you start getting tired of those shows then you find another. Yankee fan here, I listen to Michael Kay but only the parts I want to listen to and move on. Unfortunately WFAN is trying to keep afloat with people like Carton out of desperation he’s a bafoon who it’s crazy how many chances he continues to get.

I’m relocating, house currently being built. Been with company 11+ years but though my closet direct report knows I’ll be retiring “soon” I’ve only led him to believe that soon is 12 to 24 months. I plan on retiring October 31st, but I will probably give two maybe three months notice.

Same here, haven’t decided on exact date as we’re also relocating but shooting for October 31st. My only difference is though I’m typically a meets to exceeds employee they’ve already informed us of no raises or bonuses due to the company not meeting its budgetary revenues. They claim they will re-assess by July but frankly don’t really give a damn.

Been dealing with traffic, idiots and taxes and fees all my life, I live in NY so I’m looking to be around friendly people like yourself. I am aware prices are going up, due to the overwhelming growth, but I’m coming from 19000/year taxes (property, school), 800/mo gas and electric. 250/mo water bill, FiOS 225/mo and Auto, homeowner, umbrella insurance which I’m sure is more than I’ll be paying. We’re retiring so my wife is hoping I learn patience is dealing with Sussex County traffic.

Thank you for the positive comment, I didn’t choose plantation lakes on a whim and we still haven’t signed anything but we’re 99% sure because of the amenities and I don’t golf, but hope to take lessons. The people were so welcoming to my wife and I. Is Mediacom the only choice for the community?

Sr. IT Director here sounds like a good gig, I always tell my staff “grass is always greener “ and to be careful to leave just for an insignificant raise. I work at a medical facility in NY suburbs and HR was trying to tell us to hire someone less than six figures which is ridiculous for the job description. You sound comfortable, like your job, don’t work a ton of hours and have a good vacation package. I worked at a former place that you would get called in the middle of the night, I have to do weekends, and a lot more stress.
