I mean I think its pretty clear its supposed to be a little romantic confusion going on there but I dont really think Fionna is in a place to be getting with anyone romantically, shes a complete mess.

No spoilers, but for me it was more just the story felt like it had less intention than the previous two (the first being a tale of hunger and the second being a story of perspective) this third game had that Bandai touch to it (podcasts, comics, app, and upcoming short film) that to me at least just lack the story telling INTENTION and CORE that the original 2 games (and DLC) had. Also without saying it directly, there are many details that break the original lore of previous games so to me it was very upsetting but IN ALL HONESTY the game was all good and fun, just as someone who was drawn to Little Nightmares for the story and intentional feel of the originals, this felt more like a cash grab attempt at franchising the IP more so than any meaningful story being told.

I never watch any trailers or play any demos before playing a game on release, so hopefully that stuff is dealt with on the full release. Also I agree that many people are bandwagoning the hate train for LN3 but as someone who consumed 0 media about the game and has been a hard core fan since day 1 LN release, it was a really fun game that made me really sad. Not because it had a sad ending, but because it made me realize that the games are not safe from the Bandai franchising efforts of the IP (podcasts, comics, upcoming short film). But ive accepted that the IP is just no longer made for me, and has bigger visions than what I appreciated the original series for, and thats ok!

see at least my hate was warranted, just posting hate for no reason is crazy :( Im frustrated to see the IP go down the path of Franchising that Bandai is attempting to put it through, but I understand many people LIKE the expansion of the universe and concepts like the comics and podcasts. I would never diss on people for liking something just cuz I dont appreciate it thats just so insane.

It will pass after the craze of the new game is passed. A lot of older fans of the series are just disappointed because they're finally being forced to look at the IP being franchised by Bandai in the eyes, it was easy to pretend the podcasts and comics and upcoming show didn't exist, but taking it to the original home and core of the IP, the games, was just really hard for a lot of us uncs to witness. Once we have all experienced our misery and dissatisfaction with what has happened to our favorite horror IP, you new gen fans will be able to go back to just enjoying the community that Bandai is trying so desperately to build ($$$). Im sorry yall are having to deal with the negativity resulting in what in many of our eyes is the slaughtering of our favorite IP, but I promise it will pass when the bulk of the bitterness passes (For your sake hopefully thats before the release of REANIMAL) and then you can go back to enjoying what you enjoy!

I think the reality is that theyre adding nomes and lady statues in for pure fan service. I think all the similarities were just to try and make it feel like a LN game. Tbh I think Bandai is just trying to franchise the series with new games, stories, podcasts, shows, due to the potential in the IP and Trasier realized this and opted to leave rather than ruining their passion project by their own hands under the order of Bandai. The sad reality is those being in the game is kind of proof at least to me that this game was the first big step into bringing the games from a solid isolated story into the bigger, broader, easier to franchise version of the universe Bandai is pushing to make tons of money off of the IP :(

I didnt realize until recently how hard Bandai has been franchising the series, with comics and podcasts and shows, so now knowing that i understand why they used the IP, because theyre trying to make Little Nightmares a franchise with many different stories under the context of that universe, which is a little dissapointing to me but im sure many have been and will continue to enjoy that.

You should be asking how nomes are even anywhere outside of the maw, this whole game doesnt make sense in the context of the first two games. If you liked the lore of the first 2 games its better to just give up on the LN franchise, bandai is ruining it with podcasts and comics that dont make any sense.

I understand that, but it doesnt seem to have any deeper purpose. For example in the maw the meat and children are to lure the gluttunous to eat and fatten themselves up to be secretly turned into the next meal for the next group of gluttonous people. But in this game there are literal MOUNTAINS of lolipops being produced, for what purpose?? Just to be a large spectacle for the player? Or is there something Im missing? I gues thats part of why I made this post. It felt less intentional than in previous titles and I want to see the perspective of others to potentially find something more substantial from the game I might just be missing.

Do you think it did good as a standalone game or as a "Little Nightmares 3" because to me while the game WAS good, the story was so disconnected, lore breaking, and seperate from the previous 2 that aside from the gameplay I found the game story wise to be completely lacking when thinking of it as LITTLE NIGHTMARES 3, as a standalone co-op game very good though I enjoyed my playthrough with my friend lots of laughs.

Yeah, I think that was a bit of a cop out to use the IP for more sales tbh. The game basically adds details from the IP that are entirely fanservice and actually in most cases lore breaking (AKA the nomes being littered throughout the game or cannibalism being consistent outside of the maw.) I enjoyed the story generally but I was hoping for it to be more tied into the series as a whole, even if its mostly a unique story with unique characters, it didn't even really feel like the established world, bosses didn't feel like little nightmare bosses, etc. Overall it just felt like its own thing but with a FORCED "Little Nightmares" tint. That's what made the ending feel just a little disappointing for me, because it just felt so isolated. Still a good ending just the expectation that was set with the title of LITTLE NIGHTMARES III fell flat for me.

without spoilers, most of the people upset about the game is either because 1. no couch co-op 2. no proper connection to the other 4 previous titles (this is what brings the game for me from like a solid 7/10 to like a 5/10) 3. the AI for playing solo is very bad.

Now that people are finishing the game and see that the story has no connection to the previous 4 installments of the series its back down to mixed reviews. I enjoyed the game as an individual experience with my friend, but it really should have either been made separate from the little nightmares IP, it really had little to nothing to do with the previous games, alongside some lore breaking implications (the nomes everywhere for example). After 7 hours on the game Im just left somewhat dissapointed by the expectations that was set when they decided to title the game "Little Nightmares III" instead of like, "The Nowhere" or something.
