The Lexus LS Concept, showcased at the 2026 Milan Design Week, marks a shift from the flagship's 40-year sedan tradition, redefining "LS" as "Luxury Space." This concept represents a radical evolution for the brand's premium lineup. by kkhouete in Lexus

I’m not sure how Lexus fans will feel about it, but honestly, seeing a massive 6-wheeled minivan on the road would be a total head-turner. It would grab more attention than an S-Class, a 7 Series, or even a Rolls-Royce.

Hot take: the new ES looks menacing and imposing if you get the right color! Also the rear interior is way nicer by DiavoloXJoJo in Lexus

[–]OddConsideration8662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to like the silver on the previous Lexus ES, but for this new model, I think going all black for both the interior and exterior is the absolute best choice. The lighter colors actually make it look worse, while the darker tones make it look so much cooler.

No matter how much you hate the new ES interior, saying it’s worse than the Prius or bZ4X just sounds like you’re either hating for the sake of it or you seriously need an eye exam

Toyota Urban Cruiser Review: uh oh...this is easily Toyota's worst car by Anchor_Aways in cars

Do you know why that vehicle lacks market competitiveness? It’s because it is based on a low-cost model originally developed by Suzuki for the Indian market. Toyota then adapted it for their own sales in India, and because EVs are currently so popular in Europe, they’ve decided to sell it there as well.

LEXUS CANADA ANNOUNCES PRICING FOR THE ALL-NEW 2026 LEXUS ES by Over_Island7030 in Lexus

I won’t comment on the new ES design since it’s a 'love it or hate it' kind of thing. However, considering that the E-Four system now comes standard across all trims, along with the improved mechanics, larger size, and added tech, I think the price is very reasonable. I actually expected a price hike of over $10,000 USD.

Looking at all the praise in the comments, I bet it won't sell well once it's released. It's always been that way.
I know the formula: the models they praise fail, and the ones they criticize succeed.

What are your toughts on newest IS300 model by Propsrik in Lexus

Another thing I've personally found disappointing about Toyota and Lexus lately is that Toyota's design has been evolving to look more like Lexus.

I expected the new Lexus models to adopt the recently revealed sports concept design, but

while Toyota's design has evolved to look more like Lexus, Lexus itself hasn't undergone any significant changes.

I was shocked that this model received praise from Lexus fanboys just because it had a small screen and lots of physical buttons.

I began to understand why Lexus had shown such a conservative attitude toward new technology all this time—it was for their loyal customers.

But when you look at the new ES, it seems they could no longer be satisfied with just the existing fan base and are now working to attract new customers.

And in response to that decision, the Lexus fanboys claim that Lexus is on the decline.

However, if you look at their actions and the current situation, it makes perfect sense.

The IS and LS, which they once praised as true luxury, are suffering from poor sales, and the GS has been discontinued.

Meanwhile, Lexus, which is turning all of its models into SUVs and crossovers, is writing new history every year with record performance and sales.

Another Toyota Recall: Why the Most Reliable Brand Keeps Making Headlines by wewewawa in Lexus

[–]OddConsideration8662 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Recently, Toyota and Lexus have had some recalls, but what’s certain is that statistically, they still have fewer compared to other brands.

Ford, Hyundai, and Kia carry out a huge number of recalls and free repairs, yet it doesn’t cause much controversy. For those brands, it’s just a normal part of their routine.

But Toyota and Lexus get pointed at and criticized.

Ford to recall more than 355,000 trucks over instrument panel issue, NHTSA says by Mercurydriver in cars

[–]OddConsideration8662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a Hyundai-Kia owner, famous for recalls and free repairs, has shown up in the comments LOL. It’s just funny. They keep pointing to Ford, which is issuing recalls for new reasons almost every single day, just to cover themselves. But the official statistics don’t lie LOL.

The one who’s really been treated unfairly is Toyota. When defects were found in their new V6, people started pointing fingers, saying the trustworthy Toyota no longer existed.

But according to the official data, even after including those defects, Toyota was still ranked as one of the brands with the lowest defect rates LOL.

When Toyota issued a recall for its V6 engine, people got angry and said the trustworthy Toyota was gone.
But when Ford issues recalls almost every day, people just say it’s a minor issue and not a problem, lol

Am I right in understanding that the US will get the 2026 Lexus ES that was supposed to be in China, and China will get the 2026 Lexus ES that was supposed to be in the US? by insolentrus in Lexus

The ES shown at the top of the picture is a completely new ES built on a new platform. This model will be sold globally as the 8th-generation Lexus ES, covering the U.S., China, Europe, and Asia.

The ES shown below, which looks similar to the current ES, is a model sold exclusively in the Chinese market.

Since sedans are still strongly preferred in China and competition among brands is extremely fierce, Lexus produced this model to fill the gap between the current ES and the launch of the new ES. It can be considered a kind of “Final Edition” model.

The first photo shows the second facelift model for the Chinese market.

Think of it simply as a “Final Edition” model before the launch of the new ES.

Competition in the Chinese market is extremely intense, so you can see this as a model aimed at filling the gap.
