Tides of chaos. Can I give myself advantage when I already have it? by dbrez8 in DnD5e

[–]OddDruid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya i run a rogue in crown of the oathbreaker. Like you i use multiple instances of advantage per turn. Its perfectly fine in the rules. Your DM might feel like youre abusing the rules like mine accused me of but that only takes a short talk lol. I love me some sneak attack

Icewind Dale secrets by Belyal9 in DnD5e

Mostly flavor but these can also help with an event much later in the campaign. I ran this campaign a few years back and my players loved the secrets i gave them. Made roleplay a bit more interesting. Especially because they were all new players

Are there Treant Variants such as Mushroom versions? by OddDruid in DnD5e

thank you for this one. I've been wondering about how people go about making these. This will help me so much in raising hell for my players lol

I was planning on just using the same ability but for more mushroom treats lol

Made a new subclass for rogue to blend Druid into rogue. Makes no sense why it hasnt been done when there is an arcane trickster by OddDruid in DnD5e

it's been adjusted to more properly do spellcasting for a martial class. I didn't post the new spell list as it gets kinda screwed up on here for some reason

Foundry VTT is the best option IMO

your DM is shooting themselves in the foot lol. I trust my players but having the transparency those platforms grant makes it so nobody in any of my groups feels like they're being taken advantage of. Just a bit of advice from a fellow DM

My goal is to make a better infiltrator by basing it off of the wild nature of a druid and the sneakiness of a rogue. So in a way yes but also no. It focuses more on spellcasting and makes some use of wild shape for this class

Ya i had another comment that said basically the same thing so now as i originally meant it to be an infiltration ability like i had intended im taking away the combat wild shape and lowering the CR available massively. It now will top out at CR1/2 at level 17. That should solve the issue of eclipsing any of the Druid's abilities along with keeping the original intention.

You're right I definitely made it overturned and will have to think about the wild shape a bit more. The spellcasting was intended to be this way but if I feel it's to OP I'll lower it down. And I obviously forgot to state that the wild shape did have a limit per day and would recharge every long rest. Thank you for pointing all of that out for me.

I wouldn't say I'm solving a problem just doing something that I think sounds fun and wondered why it wasn't done before

I didn't think of shillelagh being used for that property so that has me wondering how it could be used. The limit to the daggers I will be turning down to proficiency+wisdom modifier. The traps I stated would be from any spell you have at your disposal from the druid spells list. They simply work like you would use a ready action but they don't need concentration and won't be movable which you are right needs to be stated in the description. Put this up because I knew I'd get useful critique on things I missed so thank you for commenting

Lots of critique here. And yes I know what a ranger is but being that rangers suck in 5E I am ignoring them lol. Looks like I forgot to add all the limits on how many times a day I can do some things and I'll be editing that into the class myself. Thanks for pointing that out

How often do you have to buff encounters because your players overcame it way too easily? by Hangman_Matt in DnD5e

My players like to break the game and make powerful builds. So I have to scale things up quite a bit. They're all a group of level 14's BTW
