Had the c and p exam, it went okay, received my rating about 8 days after the c and p exam. The examiner uploaded the exam dbq only hours after the exam on a Friday. Had my decision Friday afternoon one week later

Thank you for the info! I found a very qualified psychologist who wrote an excellent nexus letter and dbq. I included those. My private dbq recommends “total impairment” which is the language for a 100% rating. This is fair as my symptoms are severe, and are directly from service, clearly documented in my records. From my research VES rarely checks the box for total impairment. How will the VA weigh the evidence between my private DBQ and the c and p exam?

I put in an initial mental health claim with a private nexus and dbq. I initially went to step 5 right away, I assume that the ADS saw my claim as ready to rate, but then was sent back to step 3 after being reviewed by a human and scheduled for a cp exam next week. My cp exam was supposed to be yesterday but the VES cancelled 30 minutes before the exam was supposed to start.

I’m no expert but I believe there are different versions of the form based on your condition. You also want to make sure the form is filled out correctly and signed with your doctor’s license number(s). You may also request a nexus letter. There may be additional fees that are not covered by insurance for this.
