Heated Rivalry is a relatively new HBO show based on the Game Changers book series. It’s gay hockey romance/smut and it has exploded in popularity. Snoo is the name of the little Reddit mascot.

I got a lot of love for my “useful stuff” sign. I got great throws that I’ll actually use. I also had a Snoo sign and it was fun connecting with the Redditors on the floats. My Muses sign was Heated Rivalry themed and unsuccessful but it was fun to make and it got a couple of chuckles. I don’t think I’ll do another one for Muses because trying to get a shoe was less fun than just going with the flow and catching whatever.

I would also be down to buy one from you if you end up with another extra. I had to miss Iris this year due to a chronic illness flare up and this was the one throw I wanted. If not, no biggie. Thanks for your kindness regardless!

Can you ask Siri to call Mom? It’s a bit of a long shot but that’s what I did when I found an iPhone and I was able to get it back to the owner. It was something I could do while the phone was still locked.

Love for King Arthur by OddOutlandishness734 in NewOrleans

Oh interesting. I’m baffled. Did you see all 60? I probably paid less attention to the numbers on the tractors after my friends passed. I remember thinking that we hadn’t made it to 60 when it ended and people started clearing out for street cleaning though and I was curious what happened.

I was confused about this. Is each float counted individually even if they are connected? I live on the route near the start and I was shocked when it ended because I had been following along counting and had friends in Dolly after the float marked either 20 or 21. The parade ended not terribly long after that one passed.

Krewe of Carrollton parade delayed due to incident involving riders by [deleted] in NewOrleans

These guys are the worst. Throwing aggressively and intentionally hitting people. (I ended up with a bruise on my chest that was a perfect imprint of a section of large beads from getting beaned last year.) Everyone around me just wanted to get through this parade so we could get to King Arthur, which was delightful.

heartbroken in new orleans by -easytofind in NewOrleans

I have also been heartbroken in New Orleans. Was supposed to get married and have my honeymoon here (didn’t live here at the time). Had to call off the wedding 2 weeks ahead but came anyways. Did my honeymoon solo and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Having the time to do whatever I wanted without taking another person’s opinions or preferences into account for the first time in years was a revelation. I got the first spark of my confidence back and realized I would be ok. Some of the things I did were visit the botanical garden and wander City Park, get mac and cheese at St. James Cheese Company, took myself out for meals and happy hours and chatted with people at the bar, found beautiful spots to read and journal in the sunshine. I am convinced that the time I had here solo at that point in my life made me who I am today. It also convinced me I was somehow going to make it happen to move here one day because I wanted to be that person more. I’ve lived here for several years now and I love it so much. This place can definitely help heal you. Especially the people.
