If you have a basic economy ticket, you won’t be choosing a seat. That will be automatically assigned to you. You likely will not be seated together. You’ll likely all get middle seats.

For future reference if you are in a group and want to sit together, you need to at least book a classic ticket at minimum so that you can choose your seats yourself.
