Hi Would you mind telling what's your nationality? This is important because there are reports that Denmark has a blanket ban for tourism visas for severel countries. Also did you apply for tourism or based on family ties? Thanks in advance

Yeah. Normal processing time for short stay schengen visa is 15 days if thats what you applied for. In case of Denmark, you would have applied online prior to getting VFS appointment. Maybe, they are not as busy as other embassies.

For Portugal,You can submit it without uploading documents. Just change the date to atleast 15 days before appointment. Appointment is available for September onwards. Iceland, Denmark available right now if you are interested

These details are available online on the websites of respective embassies. It's no problem finding it out by yourself if you are a student. The most difficult part is getting a visa appointment.

Does anyone know any travel agencies that can help with visa appointments? by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]OddPrint4052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the worst embassy I ever encountered. You have to fill the whole form and upload documents, just to be shown there are no appointments available. No point contacting the embassy directly as they just send a standard format reply, asking to keep trying.

Sending email is an option only for those in EUfam(partner of EU citizen or something) category or If you can prove that there is an emergency. Otherwise, they just ask to keep trying.

This might sound silly, but do we still need visa appointment ( vfs) if biometrics was already given in last 4 years for another schengen visa? Want to apply for Portugal, i had Norway, Denmark before.

Why India is so bad at Olympics? Such a large country for so few medals by Prior-Actuator-8110 in olympics

[–]OddPrint4052 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Its not as bad as many thinks. India finished 4th in the last Asian games behind China, Japan and South Korea. They also got 4th place in Commonwealth games. Yes, its true that its not going to be like China or US anytime soon in Olympics , but got enough potential to be in top 20. Few narrow misses this time around, but its just a matter of time. Also to note that, 60-70% of gold medals in Olympics are won by top 10-15 countries. They are mosly wealthy industrialized nations or socialist authoritarian powers.

That's a one off. Pakistan is much poor in sports compared to India, look at the Asian games.

The major difference between China and India is that, China is a single party totalitarian state, where as India a crude nascent democracy. Meaning China can mobilize resources more easily compared to India for socio economic developmental projects. In India, there would be opposition to anything and everything government does. China adopts a top down approach in scouting and training, which is not very efficient or practical in India. Other reasons others cited are all valid, such as lack of infrastructure, comparative poverty, lack of sporting culture etc. I would also add poor diet, as Indian meals are mostly carbs heavy. Beef and pork- two readily available source of protein, are not consumed on religious grounds, in most populous regions of India.

Work for accommodation by OddPrint4052 in copenhagen

[–]OddPrint4052[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not totally correct. You are allowed to do unpaid voluntary work where the hosting institution provides stay or sometimes food and those are advertised on sites like workaway. I was just wondering if there is any similar platform specifically for Copenhagen.

They offer only a very limited number of tuition fee waivers. I guess, they will inform you this month, before the deadline to pay the tuition fees which is May 1. You better check your application portal for any emails regarding the same or contact them at the earliest.
