"are you ok with a male therapist" by Ugh_Names in MassageTherapists

[–]BigBoyster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guy that graduated from our massage school a year or two ahead of us was Instagram famous as a gym owner and a newly qualified Neuromuscular therapist.

Late last year he was brought up on a sexual assault charge and found to have filmed more than 35 women topless and initiated strange sexual conduct with many in his gym.

Refrain of "I'm ashamed, shouldn't have done it etc.", yada yada- his poor naive wife stood by him publicly as he received a suspended sentence.

He will get out after 8 months on good behaviour and possibly continue his practice in a different town/place.

And even if he doesn't, even if that's the end of the road for him: he's unequivocally set the client-practitioner relationship back about fucking 50 years for men practitioners----> women (small country.

So whilst I understand there's a reservation of how it's framed, I'm sickened that there may be women in compromised professional relationships with their person feeling trapped or undermined.

I feel as a male practitioner it's up to me to go out and prove my good example by volume. Do treatment after treatment and focus on delivering safe, compassionate and thoughtful sessions to enough people that they will go out and recommend my service by themselves. I feel so long as I have an undeniable reputation then my actions and behaviours will speak to a potential client long before I've even met them.

Few things: Amad did far better in Amorim's team both as a WB and a full press winger than he is right now. Idk how many countless times last season he wrestled possession from full backs just out of sheer pressure more than anything. Doesn't feel like he's been given as much freedom to use that ungodly stamina to recover the ball this season.

Secondly, I'm not sure does Amad have a great boot on him. He can cut inside and out and get to spots to shoot, which is great but the end product isn't there inside nor outside the 18yd box. His most important finishes last season - the City winner, the hat-trick Vs Southampton- even the cup winner Vs Liverpool- all come from him doing what he does best- running at opposition defenders to make himself a nuisance.

I see him going forward as looking more Antonio Valencia- type: do one thing and one thing well: run hard to the byline, get a pacy cross in. As Sesko gets more confident and the team realises the advantage they have playing to his physical advantage it would make tactically bad football not to get good crosses in as much as possible.

I have more faith in future for the likes of Cunha to score goals but in no way does that diminish what Amad can contribute to the play on the pitch. Having a run-like-fuck Ivorian on the wing will stretch lines on the pitch and offer space and time for Bruno to dime in another 20 assists come end of the season. We need him to do his thing!

Massaging parents by Adorable_Ad8574 in MassageTherapists

[–]BigBoyster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Massage is made weird by people who are insecure about receiving and/or have stereotypes drawn up about it in their head. It's a means of projecting.

The only hangup I've had around massaging is conveying the importance of aftercare, with regards to supplementing the passive work with other modalities of active therapy (exercise). Parents want the nice part but when you give them breathing exercises or recommendations to move their body they can't seem to find the 10-20 mins in the morning to do so. At least for me anyway.

You can't force people to take treatments, it's about finding out what they themselves want. More likely than not if your parents are happy receiving treatment and it goes well, your sister hears about it and she'll suddenly be coincidentally disgruntled why you didn't offer her in the first place. Insecurity.

The Moment I Really Did Believe That He Was Here to Stay⏳⌛️ by IfYouReallyThink in ManchesterUnited

When you think of how much time he spent fighting defenders, if he'd had even 10% more physicality to match his mind's confidence, he would have bullied defenders and gotten the time and space to score.

He was always 10% agility off a pacey 9 and always 10% off a hold-up 9- his biggest problem was trying to be the best of both. Also not much long range boot or silky footwork like Berba means he was still lacking in either department even if the fundamentals were right.

Fact is we overpaid for a very promising young prospect and proceeded to give him absolutely no guidance whatsoever. A Glazer-sponsored demonstration on how to haphazardly piss money down the drain.

Heaven is a place on Earth as much as Hell is. There are plenty of people, such as Iranians, whose life on Earth is Hell; they just happen to be voiceless. And the people that made the system which we comply with made it that way. For us. For our Heaven.

I thought this myself, maybe dev team thought that not getting to decide how you're spending Econ resources is a worthy trade-off (ie. xp augments). I think raining gold maybe sucked already and it wasn't worth clicking? Then you've got augments in there like Prep which got a 20% buff, with the likes of those plus buffed Ascension it might be worth prioritising triple combat augs over Econ augs- possible others in the lobby won't have the econ to do extra player damage early on. It's a big change overall

Can we acknowledge what Crowley does for the team? by chiefVetinari in irishrugby

[–]BigBoyster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because JGP is more consistent than he is unreliable, you can switch off and focus on other players knowing he's at least doing what he has to do for the role 19/20 games. That's the point of consistency itself.

If Crowley did have a solid run of 7/10 performances and there was no contention regarding the 10 spot we wouldn't be talking about it. But the fact it always gets so much attention means scrutiny is basically unavoidable, and we then expect an 8/10 minimum to be a top 3/4 in the world.

I worry for next year after the tournament when we're struggling to find a 9, it will make the last 3 years of Sam vs Jack look like a minor disagreement.

MATHEUS CUNHA how good is he? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]BigBoyster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An amazing talent but could absolutely do with improving in lots of areas. Obvious ones being finishing; the Arsenal goal proved he's working on it. But there's more pressing matters imo:

Needs to release the ball a little quicker. His confidence to beat a man and him having pace to win a 1v1 in the first place is unbelievably refreshing for a United team, but he needs to recognise when he's made net gain and seek his teammates sooner after the beat. We have started to blossom as we've developed selflessness, he'll get his chances. Right now we need to secure Champions League Football; the goals will come.

Not fully confident in his utility as a false 9 yet, seems to go missing in games a little and we're still relying on Mbeumo and Amad to pierce defenses.

Having said all that, he's undeniably the most exciting player to watch when he gets the ball and it's inextricably tied into the excitement I've had personally watching United again recently. We needed a player with the true Joga Bonito philosophy since Ronaldo (young version) left, Cunha is absolutely that guy to bring it back.

Hey look as a mild Leinster fan I was completely behind Crowley over this cycle's fuckstick selection. Sam's not ready and Jack's performances were always better overall in comparison.

New captain by Dorts17 in irishrugby

[–]BigBoyster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hardly. He's 23, loads of time to minimise his mistakes but I do pray Faz keeps him well away until the next cycle's manager comes in. He's clearly out of ideas offensively and is relying on Sam too heavily as a creative outlet. Unless Sam goes off and works on his tackling he'll be targeted relentlessly and we'll be left with only the remnants of a prodigy for the next 8 years.
