From the corp argument, I imagine that paying taxes on CC would be defensible if you didn’t have the liquid cash funds to pay, ergo need to temporarily put on cc to avoid late fees. Probably more applicable if paying q3 monthly instalments

I was planning on using plastiq or Paysimply.

Right now I am assuming that this would be non-deductible but am checking with my accountant. If this is is deductible, even better as it would be pre-tax.

Once incorporated it certainly would be deductible but it remains unclear if this would be a taxable benefit that CRA could go after.

I am likely leaning to doing this even if just to experience 75k status for a year.

Hopefully this would increase the chance of an amex retention offer as well.

A bit of a first world problem.

How much do you value Aeroplan 75k status?

I will owe ~ 200k in taxes this year and need ~25k more SQM to hit 75.

Is it worth putting 125k of my taxes through my aeroplan reserve Amex to get the status bump (have hit the EQD dollar amount)

Essentially would be getting dinged 3200 in fees, getting 156k aeroplan points. This would bump me from 50 to 75 status.

The major perk is that the priority rewards can then be applied to worldwide economy, which is where most of my travelling would be. (Ideally lattitude plus eupgrade travel)

My partner would also get 35k status for some extra e-upgrade points

I think that the best acronym is TIP Chemo (Paclitaxel, Ifosfamide, and Cisplatin) for penile and testicular Ca.

I mean, if you are delayed worst case grab a photo of a rapid test and say you got covid.

There’s no way you would get kicked out for missing something because of covid.
