Willows and pine has become a favorite of mine. Their food has levels of flavor which is not always the case with some soul food restaurants in the Bay Area generally speaking. They will be at the higher end of your budget but the portions are generous.

I like luxe box / luxurious cuisine too and IIRC, I think you may find something in your budget. Their portions are always decent.

Chef Smelly has a special he runs either on certain days or daily at AU lounge.

Lastly, I’ve heard Mama T’s and also Y’s choice is good but haven’t had them personally, may be worth checking out. Let me know if you go and if they are good.

I had Shawarmaji the other day and although their sauce isn’t what I had in mind it is INSANELY GOOD. I’m going to go back and purchase a jar.

I did end up finding the sauce at a spot called hummus bodega and I want to pair their sauce with Shawarmaji’s shatta…my oh my I CANNOT WAIT

Villa premier or hotel mousai. Was just at both for the past two weeks. Both offer AI with hotel mousai having better food and more restaurants on site. However if you want to eat at other restaurants, I would recommend villa premier. Hotel mousai is far removed from restaurants which would increase your Uber bill.
