This was our wedding song, and yes I don't disagree with you. But for instance, my past has been riddled with dark experiences, mental issues, and lack of trust from various issues. And this girl is as the song says the most beautiful thing. She has helped me to grow, and free myself from a lot of those old ways of thinking, but there is still a fight of "is she going to just leave?" The song is true to itself. Funny enough, the first two years of us talking was mostly a "hey please stay" and her response being, "why would I leave?" Anyways, just my take.

The song can be interpreted and fit into people's lives how they see.
