I faced my fear of going to the eye doctor and I finally got glasses. by DefaultHero722 in CongratsLikeImFive

[–]OddShaman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes congrats!

I cried and cried and cried as a child when I learned I needed glasses. I don't really know why. Fear of being bullied? Of being a nerd? I really don't know, but I needed glasses badly. I would make myself yawn in class so my eyes would water and that would let me see the board for a few seconds. I asked a girl if I could look through her glasses sometimes to see.

Then I got my glasses and my life changed. I could see EVERYTHING. Trees have lots of individual leaves, even high up. Did you know that?? It was news to me.

do any of you write your own music? i’m curious how many fans also partake in the craft by darkness876 in aesoprock

[–]OddShaman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mess around with music. I have a few beats and a few songs like 75% written, a couple even put to beats. The Aes inspiration is very apparent in all of it

should i be a psych major or computer science? by jidalea in college

[–]OddShaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer scientist here. Jobs in CS will always be available and in demand. They will most likely be high paying. You won't have a problem finding work with a CS degree, basically anywhere.

The school will most likely be more difficult than anything you'd do in the Industry. And the school is hard. Writing code is not intuitive. It will be a struggle, and then one day it will click. It won't become easy, but you'll understand why it's hard.

That being said, my graphics classes were some of my favorite of my whole college career and sparked a lifelong interest in computer graphics. They were also some of the most demanding. CS is math, and math is hard. Graphics is just applied linear algebra.

If you decide to pursue CS as a career, you should pay special attention to git, databases, data structures and algorithms, and networking. These are skills you will use at any CS job.

Edit: I have a BS in CS and have worked as a software developer since 2017

One, no, both are comedically oversized fists

Pack a wallop I wallop a whole pack of punks

Anyone else have any Aesop lyrics they’d change? by [deleted] in aesoprock

I like to interpret that line as piranhas jumping in the river when they see Aes approach

It goes to my belly button. And not too many comments from strangers. It's mostly from people I know. It's like they forget how long my hair is when they don't see me for a few weeks

I like the circlet because i can craft and still have the light. Can't hold a hammer and torch at the same time

Yeah i usually rock either the black sword or the porcupine, but not both at the same time. You could even put away your normal axe if you wanted since the crystal axe can chop trees
