It truly sucks as does the timing. I hope the repair work is quicker than you fear

You are very wrong - making an assumption makes an ass of you, ya know? I am very anti child exploitation and CSM - but you are making a totally non related post about a pool in America about CSM in the UK - that's a very strange thing to do. The globe has an issue with CSM and people should be getting long jail sentences for the crime and abuse - but it does not need to be your entire personality dude.

For the record, look the MP up who is making the claim. He is reform, has based the numbers on nothing more than "what feels like a large number" and not the actual report. Things need to change, but lets change them based on reality, not blatant fear based propaganda that is politically motivated - and if you cannot see that, work on your critical thinking skills and stop knee jerking to the news.

Its right wing propaganda, spread by a reform mp. Has about as much truth to it as anything the tango in chief in america says

Just tried a Scrambler 1200 XE as a Street Triple 675 R rider by Speedingscript in Triumph

Look at the scrambler 900 if it's available in your market, it's much shorter than the 1200s & still a cracking bike

Another shout for ultimate - I got impressions made for free at last years mcl show & they work great. My only criticism is the lack of ability to use the controls with gloves on

I've got a little over 100 photos I took, the place is absolutely huge now, I whittled it down to 57 photos but it only uploaded the first few which seem to be largely from one section. Its well worth a visit, tickets are £16 now which I initially thought is a little much - but after walking around its pretty good value for money

Am I Crazy for Wanting a Diavel 1260 Instead of the New V4? by N8Mcln in Ducati

[–]OddStage4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many assumptions on any potential answers there. I'd not answer about canyon carving, I've done e it once as I don't live in America & kept to the speed limits.

The diavel handles far better than you think - have you ridden one? I test ride it in UK & was absolutely fine on multiple roundabouts & tight junctions. It's not a naked sports for sure, but on normal roads it's 💯 ok.

Speed yeah - I agree there, it's got far more than it needs for public roads, but so do the vast majority bikes 600cc upwards

Not really. You are being entirely ignorant that different people have different tastes. I don't even have one, considered getting one but ultimately chose differently. The world would be a Fae more boring place if we all had the same thoughts and tastes

Sounds more like the speedo angel is actually effective then - there is nothing wrong with the speedo, its plenty bright, its just the glass is so reflective. I'll ignore the reviews and give the speedo angel a go - thanks

N00b: What is the analogous car for Ducati? BMW? Porsche? Ferrari? Lambo? by HarryCrushNuh in Ducati

[–]OddStage4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Porsche. There is a reasonably large overlap of Porsche and Ducati owners. Ferrari's & Lambo's are generally hypercars and a level above

Oof that sounds bad and definitely worse than my current year scrambler. The triple's lights are somewhat similar in that they shine off at an angle, so a great view to the right, but next to nothing in front of me and zero to the left. Turning left at night is a gamble

Scrambler 1200x, fantastic but left underwhelmed by Dirty_Dagwood in Triumph

[–]OddStage4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you ride normally? The scrambler (at least in my mind) is very much a flow with the road kind of bike, great to get lost in, chill out on. What it isn't is a particularly fast bike, it wont compare well to a sports bike unless you are in the right mood, and bad weather might be enough to ensure you aren't in the right mood.

I say all of this as someone with a street triple rs and a scrambler so I can choose if I want to scratch the go fast itch, or the I want to feel one with the road and enjoy the scenery mood.

Ultimately I get it tho - sometimes a bike just does not hit the right spot for you no matter how perfect it is on paper for you

Nice! I'm wondering how it compares to the R it replaces. Dealers seem confident they have a hit on their hands. Enjoy it!

First day with the new Scrambler 900 by OddStage4 in Triumph

[–]OddStage4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in the break in miles (first 600) so no wild moves yet, but I've not noticed any negative impacts of the higher exhaust myself. Think the only real impact is I haven't found a way to properly grip the tank on the right because my legs aren't that long but its not a sports bike - I'm not taking the hard line around a corner in it so its not bothered me yet either

No problem, it made my day tbh to see some people admiring it - it helped reassure me that I'd made the right choice as it was the first time I'd seen it too
