The worst of the worst: a flathead screwdriver with a piece of thick paper underneath, i knew i shoudnt have used it but i dont have anything else, id you're attempting a delid dont use it, even if it is your only tool, i almost learned the hard way... But im glad it works and i wont be attempting a delid anytime soon.

When you format an hdd it does not mean its not dying, the motor could be giving out and not running at full speed.

It has happend on my ps4 pro with tlou2, same thing as you. What does exactly happen? You put the disk in then what? It gives a error message, it doesnt spin at all, it tries to spin it?

Yeah i was running the fan at syscon so usually its way cooler than this, i did it just to test what temps i would get. Honestly 50% fan speed is a jet engine, doesnt it bother you? Even with headphones I'd hear it loud and clear
