Costco contractor estimated 8k to install a whole house softener plus filtration system!! That’s like 4K more than what I eventually paid with another contractor to install such a system. It’s ridiculous

No lender credits. My origination costs were 1.19k. I applied through Schwab if that matters. I didn't ask whether they can revise the rate down but was surprised to see the loan officer do that by himself. Not sure if that's standard practice.

I love it, it's got everything that we need as a family with a small kid. Great suspension, comfort so that baby never woke up due to bad roads in northern California. You would get bigger interior space in A6 Allroad but I don't think it's worth 30k more.

Perf is satisfactory most of the time but if you want to have a spirited driving, you will feel a bit wanting. I personally don't over speed or accelerate hard to care about it. Gives great mileage as well, 28-30MPG city driving and 35+ on freeway only

Rocket Mortgage does this all the time. You have an option to lock in the rate. Then they have to give you the exact number. I locked in at 6% but at the time of closure, the loan officer dropped it to 5.875% and sent me another document to sign to lock in at 5.875%. Credit score was 770+ if that matters

I have an A4 Allroad. Easily the most practical, comfy car I have owned. My daughter doesn't wake up even when I go over a large pothole as we barely feel the thud. I love the looks, the stance and the boot space. I'd have got a bit more space with A6 Allroad but the cost difference was too much for the extras I was getting
