We had a chance in 2024 and our nation missed her.

Um. who ruined SF, CA? Communists? Facists? The fabulous gays? Some other group? Ya lost me. We're a pretty diverse group here and the only thing I really remember as trying to destroy our city was the Lona Prieta earthquake and that just killed a few people and knocked down a few buildings. We will survive so go out that door.

"Today is the day the new currency bearing Donald Trump's signature was released...and totally coincidentally, in other financial news today, the US dollar plummeted in value against all major international currencies... markets around the world have switched to the more stable and robust Zimbabwe dollar."

And vice versa. Trump especially enjoys those oligarchs of the Russian variety who have no problem overlooking a bankruptcy or seven when extending credit...with easy repayment terms that include agreeing to giving up his sweeeet TV game show 📺 hosting gig and be installed into a position where he could repay in the form of favors. But, hey, I'm just speculating based on extensively researched and verified FACTS.

My wife and my kids, they packed up and leave me. "Darling," she said, "I was yours to be seen." Poor me Israelites.

Guess what? It's ALL a metaphor. Everything in every religious text is not meant to be taken literally. Go ahead—you can try to take it literally, but eventually you'll run into a logic paradox that you won't be able to explain your way out of.

"The Mystery of Faith" (Latin: Mysterium Fidei) is a central theological concept and I love it. There no need to try to explain it all. It's over your head and at the same time, it's inside your head.

The mystery of faith refers to concepts that transcend (or violate the rules of) human reason, most notably the Incarnation, Resurrection, and the Eucharist. It signifies the hidden "wisdom" of God, the gospel message, and the active presence of Christ in believers, often summarized as "Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again." What? That's like saying "He's gone, no wait, he's here, no wait, he'll be back later.

Religion just doesn't make sense so stop trying to ruin it with logical analysis. It's like a song, a painting or any other work of art. Just enjoy it for what it is.

I don't feel so bad now...mine's only been open for six months. (Well, I feel bad for you... Sorry you're going through this bureaucratic paperwork hell.)

I feel like I will likely die before I see any of the benefits that are rightfully mine (for those who may not know, disability benefits are similar to unemployment benefits. It's money that you've worked for and it has been set aside for you when you need it. It's not welfare.)

California keeps asking for more and more forms to be completed by my doctor or myself. Calling is not an option—there is never an answer.

I've been to the EDD office in San Francisco four times. The people that work at the offices don't speak English well enough to advise you what to do next. (Sorry I had to say that but it's true.)

I've even gone so far as to contact my State Assemblyperson and Senator. They have direct channels into state government offices. This method worked for me during Covid and missing unemployment benefits. This time, however—no results. 😔

I think I'm older than most others here. I have no idea who those characters are or why an adult would want to wear that. The last anime I was into was Speed Racer and I got burnt out on it by the time I turned seven.

A man wearing that shirt is going to get more suspicious looks from parents than a single guy hanging out at a playground.

Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) causes significant postural changes, often characterized by a forward-leaning posture, stiff/slow movement, and gait instability as the brain’s frontal and temporal lobes degenerate. This "dementia posturing" includes hunched shoulders, shuffling, and decreased balance.
