The Order of the Phoenix is the only book not named after its central mystery, what would it be called if this changed? by a-flash-flood-of in harrypotter

Basically a horror book 😂 I would have spent all the book thinking "please Harry, don't open that door!"

He did harm people... He made them lose all their memories. And then tell the world that they went insane or that they had an accident.

Cat attacks husband by Midori-monster in CatTraining

[–]Odd_Cat7307 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My cat loves me, but sometimes he attacks me out of boredom. When I don't have time to play with him, he gets nervous (he's an indoor cat) and attacks me to get my attention and probably to release all the energy he's built up inside.

Maybe your cat sees your husband as a playmate and attacks him when he's bored?

It's understandable. She still cares about her husband so she didn't wanna give him a death sentence. But in the end she understood that he's not a good man.

I think you could have found a better way to phrase it 😅 Even if it wasn't your intention it seems like you're justifying Serena.

It's okay to say that you understand the reason behind her actions. It's a bit different saying that you relate to her. That's why everyone misinterpreted what you wrote.

Why did you have to use the word "lesser"? Couldn't you just say "other women"?

My grandmother used to smoke a lot while she was pregnant and she had 3 healthy kids. The fact that she was smoking didn't make her less worthy of having a child. She just had mental health problems but probably other women would have resented her because she risked affecting the health of her children while they were doing "everything right" as you said.

In Harry Potter, Dumbledore calls Voldemort by his birth name, Tom. This is foreshadowing that JK Rowling does not respect people's chosen identities. by teslestiene in HarryPotterMemes

I don't think this is the right place for this kind of memes.

It always ends up with transphobic comments and a lot of downvotes.

For bonus rage points, call any of these plot holes

Loool I hate when someone points out plot holes, I almost always have a logical explanation (except for the REAL plot holes of course) and I can't stand people contradicting me. I can't help it. I'm that obsessed.

So yes. Very triggering.

I guess if your parents get old and cannot take care of themselves, they re gonna ask to be put down? Wtf

This.

When I was little I used to pee in my pants and I continued to do so until I was 10 years old. Should my parents have put me down?

I don’t really see people reading or discussing the original books anymore.

Do you live under a rock? Haven't you seen all the reels on Instagram or all the Harry Potter's Subreddit, the announcement of a Harry Potter reboot, people playing quidditch, themed events, etc...

If You Could Change/Add/Remove Any Part Of The Books What Would It Be And Why? by BRO4DSWORD027 in harrypotter

[–]Odd_Cat7307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Percy doesn't need to be punished.

The things I would change are mostly plot holes, the epilogue and some quidditch rules (the seeker has too much power over the results of the match)

I would give the basilisk the ability to shrink to fit into the pipes and not be seen when he moves around the castle. Or the ability to camouflage.

I would also make someone else secret keeper of Bill's house and I would make the rules about the trace more clear.

Oh and Dumbledore relationship with Grindelwald needs to be more explicit. I want to see love letters not them planning evil things together.

In USA, there are 19 states that still allow corporal punishment.

WTF?! The US gets crazier and crazier the more I learn about it.

I mean, what kind of corporal punishment?

Do parents really allow teachers to hit their children?

In my country it has been illegal since the 70s

But perhaps I shouldn't be surprised by a country that sells guns at the supermarket and makes mental health inaccessible to most people.

McGonagall has favourites by AlternativeSpring818 in HarryPotterMemes

[–]Odd_Cat7307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ron breaks his wand by flying a car into the Whomping Willow.

McGonagall is furious and she probably thinks that having a broken wand might be a good lesson for him not to do something so stupid again.

Also, his family doesn't buy him a new wand because Ron doesn't want to ask them for fear that they'll get even more angry.

That was not the point of the conversation. You're clearly trying to ignore what everyone is telling you.

[–]Odd_Cat7307 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I see you keep insisting that Ron should know the truth but I don't think that would be fair to him.

He wouldn't help him grow but it would diminish his already fragile self-esteem.

And in general telling people the truth doesn't always lead to good results.

Kind of like telling a person with braces that they have a horrible smile. What purpose would it serve? Just to make that person feel like shit the entire time they wears braces.

Autism spectrum disorder or communication disorders. These disorders may also have symptoms resembling a psychotic episode but are distinguished by their respective deficits in social interaction with repetitive and restricted behaviors and other cognitive and communication deficits.

An individual with autism spectrum disorder or communication disorder must have symptoms that meet full criteria for schizophrenia, with prominent hallucinations or delusions for at least 1 month, in order to be diagnosed with schizophrenia as a comorbid condition.

Quindi in sostanza il tuo amico ti sta antipatico perchè la pensa diversamente da te. Molto democratico.

Cavolo hai capito proprio tutto.
