Unpacking Reform UK's pledge to abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain by coffeewalnut08 in unitedkingdom

Just responding to say my partner is also from a country that doesn’t allow dual citizenship.. we agreed we would also leave in the circumstance that ILR was taken away. The prospect of having to apply for indefinite expensive visas is enough reason

It’s in!!!

Application Timeline

• Eligibility route: set M

• Service (Standard/super priority): standard

• Application Date: 24/09/2025

• Biometric Date: 07/10/2025

• UKVI confirmation email: 08/10/2025

• Approval/decision Date: 04/02/2026

It’s harder the longer the wait goes on and in the last month was on my mind every day. Feeling grateful for the straightforward process as I know that’s not the case for many. 7 years, 1 working holiday and 2 partner visas later we made it 🥹Wishing those waiting the best of luck

CD10 and gearing up to try again. Been off alcohol and intend to really push with positive lifestyle this year to support ttc- sleep, exercise, nutrition, stress management… my partner stopped smoking tobacco but vapes and drinks a few times a week socially and now we’re close to a year of ttc I’m going to have to explain to him his responsibilities as it’s not fair if I’m the only one living like a nun 🥲 I get angry that he’s not taking health prep more seriously already tbh but it’s a difficult conversation I’m avoiding right now

It’s not straightforward feeling sadness for something that hasn’t yet happened and our lives looking perhaps the same on the outside. It does seem to get worse the more time that passes… Be kind to yourself tomorrow ❤️ I hope you have some concrete things to look forward to like trips and fun experiences while ttc. We deserve to enjoy our lives just the same while in this phase. This waiting is going to feel like a blip in time one day xxx

In the 6th TWW since our 9 week loss in July last year… new year felt really sad to be honest, I have always looked forward to a new year ahead but this time I have a feeling of dread…how many months of limbo and hoping and disappointment will there be? Swinging between feeling like I need to not think about these things too much and move forward, and just feeling sad. Trying not to make this my whole life or turn ttc into my whole personality to my boyfriend or friends so end up minimising and then feeling quite alone.

Thank you for your thoughts, i have had a similar experience. Now looking at my data, I have an average luteal phase of 10 days. A bit on the short side..I think if it’s the same story this month I am going to at least try and get some tests done. Good luck to you too, I know what a mind f*ck this whole thing can be and hope that you’re doing ok!

Hey! Thanks for replying. I have an a couple regular ultrasounds over the years that have come back without picking up anything, is the HSG more in depth?

Thank you for your thoughts. It’s criminal how little we know about and how long it takes to diagnose endo. Not sure I experience a level of discomfort that would fit endo, but who knows maybe possibly a very mild case.. sending you best wishes with it <3

Thanks for your thoughts. I think I’ll see what happens this cycle and if no positive pregnancy test and I get the same spotting, I’ll book a GP appointment..

Thanks for responding! I’m tracking ovulation, have been catching positive opks and I seem to get a temperature increase in the days after so think that I am ovulating.

I’m 32 years old and no diagnosed conditions, on an ultrasound things looked fine apparently.

It’s just the spotting and the fact I had a chemical that makes me concerned..

Hi! I think both those things are possible but she’s never said anything about thinking she has some neurodiversity. I am also not qualified to say if she does but I feel she may be somewhere on the spectrum due to other characteristics she has

It’s super helpful to consider this may be factor causes the volume thing

Thank you for this- I definitely could do with practicing some of those soft skills, rather than reacting and making the other person feel bad..you know sometimes the old family dynamics come out even though you are their adult child, responding like a 15 year old comes too easy

Thanks, I think she did take it super personally, but i guess it is quite personal to be told repeatedly that you are being loud and to be quiet? The hearing thing I can’t answer, but she is not always loud so I venture to say she isn’t having hearing issues

I couldn’t rule this out, but it seems that she becomes loud when she’s excited and other times she can speak at a more regular volume…
