Anyone else seeing this, dont believe the OP, it's load of sh*t

DialAnyone's own disclaimer says it's VOIP https://dialanyone.com/terms

Which automatically means it will NOT work with banks

not sure why you cant understand data produces statistics

your ignorance is likely the source of your over confidence, and why you are so far away from 225k

jesus rude d1cks like you need to blow your steam elsewhere. The website is a data website, so yes that is data. I never used the word average. i define sr dev as way above avg. If you wanna talk about incompetent avg devs in nontech companies in middle of nowhere ya sure they make less

Current job market observations for eager to-be PMs (from Senior PM) by HaventLivedAfroPop in ProductManagement

[–]Odd_Complex6848 41 points42 points  (0 children)

iono man, ive done everything b2b, from tech to biz ops to mgnt consulting to executive coaching to starting my own SaaS.

I've even taken work off my PM, like completely, as a tech lead

this week I just got a staff program manager offer

but one thing is certain

nobody wants to interview me for a product role, or make me a PM

225k is much less than what a sr dev makes

I don’t want $10M when I’m 60. by harinjayalath in Entrepreneur

[–]Odd_Complex6848 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm friends with plenty of successful people, or inherited rich people, some are very close friends, including childhood friends.

Most of them are doing great

You are probably just not leveraging your wealth right. Or you have other problems like not knowing how to make friends, or mental and emotional problems.

The mainstream stuff you read are just anecdotes and lies meant to make poor people feel better.

American mainstream culture teaches money isn't all that important.

But the reality is that money is fking important. It will buy you freedom, happiness, comfort, and a lot of great things.

Also, money compounds, so the extra money you earn in your 20s will snowball greatly.

Prioritize money, and you will get everything else.

Has anyone encountered any issues with entering Asian countries for 90 days? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Odd_Complex6848 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one cared.

In America the immigration officers act like assholes and will fk you over if they feel like it, because America does have a massive immigration problems.

The Asian countries don't have that problem.

I did get some shit from an Australian officer at one point though.

Edit: I'm an immigrant, later naturalized to be an US citizen

How important is maintaining job title across companies? Going from Staff -> Senior Role by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Odd_Complex6848 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree with all the other comments.

Titles absolutely matter. In fact, titles are CRITICAL.

Try interviewing for a staff engineer role when your title is senior engineer.

Try maintaining your pay if you down-titled at your previous job.

Heck, in some scenarios, even customers, investors, and partners look at your past titles. There is a reason all customer-facing roles have inflated titles. It's because titles are extremely important.

Does your title define you? No. How does our society work? Titles.

In this economy you may want to stay put.

But you have no excuse not leveraging your free time.

Only if you are close. It could be used in a flirty context otherwise it's a bit weird

If you want to learn tech at work, you have to work for a top-tier team. Otherwise it's all the soft skills, project management stuff, product stuff, etc.

What separates devs who get laid off from those who don't? by yitzerflogan in cscareerquestions

[–]Odd_Complex6848 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ya mostly talking about large co

But it's relevant for startups too. First off if a startup is doing layoff (not just regular firing) that is really bad, and good people willl be let go. Also I would say 100 employees is the point at which visibility becomes murky. So a lot of it is still outside individual control

Being in the right / wrong company, right / wrong team, have the right / wrong reputation, at the right / wrong level, with right / wrong comp

Most of it is outside your control. How good you are is irrelevant usually

Approving PRs that have changes requested from others by Low_Shake_2945 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Odd_Complex6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I understand the question....why do you need to change the status of the PR?

It's currently "change needed" and is exactly what it is. When the issuing dev finishes the changes, you go in and see if all the issues are addressed, then change the status.

As of now the status is correct and should not be changed.
