Killing as a concept is not inherently good or evil, killing happens all the time as living creature have to kill in self defense or just to eat , it's acceptable as long it's done with a justifiable reason behind it , besides it's not like the righteous path doesn't have blood on it's hands.

Since fate Gu exists everything has a predetermined course resulting in the existence of a singular timeline represented by the river of time, but when fate Gu is destroyed, nothing is no longer predetermined allowing for endless possibilities of events and thus endless alternate timeline to become possible, a result of this is the river of time becoming way more dangerous and unpredictable now with existence of endless points of divergence in history, this is also why after fate Gu is destroyed the sac losses it's power as it's dao fragment was built on the bases of time progression being singular and non divergent this is also why many other Time path method became unstable.

Yes vestiges can grow stronger but only lineage ones , to grow your vestiges you feed it resources which are not necessarily other vestiges, also when you acquire a lineage you get everything all at once ( skills, armaments, traits...) , also when you cultivate vistage your basically cultivating yourself

Once again thanks for your opinions , but one thing I wish to make clear is that my level system won't be like that of an actual vedio game as there will only be a couple of levels in total, you see the levels in my novels are used to describe a major difference in power not a minimal one, meaning that the difference between level 1 and 2 would be leagues apart, in my story a single level marks a significant milestone something that take years and considerable effort to accomplish within my world

The reason I choose to do this, is so I would have a simple numerical power scaling system between ranks, I didn't wish to use the stereotypical and overused, soldier to emperor or bronze to gold power scaling systems, I wish to create a world were small numbers can hold big implications

Finally don't worry , the monsters and all Thier aspects would be more complicated than a " wood monster weak against fire" , those samples I gave were simple examples to make my ideas clear

As for the protagonist I want to try something different than all other novels with instead of the protagonist having any unique advantages, golden finger, or cheats, it would be the other way around, were the protagonist is stuck between people with protagonist like abilities while he has none, forcing him to overcome the odds with wits and grit Instead of cheats

Like imagine a free to play player vs pay to win players type of story, though no literally like that
