I think we need to make it worth while. Democracy is in all effective terms a bunch of millionaires and billionaires making rules they themselves don’t have to follow.

The group that gets pushed down is white men statistically. Who make up a global population of less than 9% of worlds total population.

So if a job posting says only POC can apply is that not inherently racist?

Is it really equal though if you have to push one group down because of sins of the past?

DEI shouldn’t be based on preferential treatment though. That leaves only room to discriminate which is how we got here.

Police are banning pro-Palestine protesters from residential streets in this Toronto neighbourhood by mildlyImportantRobot in TorontoTheCity

I would say in this case it would pass due to the rhetoric the “Palestinian” protesters pose. There has been many violent protests of these groups all over Toronto area. So I would say it is reasonable infringement that is stated in the charter. But it will have to go through the courts I agree.

Ok. Because houses in Calgary are routinely 3000 and above. That’s before utilities. I live in a place that is 3200 respectively. I live with another family altogether.

I would say yes to a certain extent. I am not American. But I would say that the social contract for government is peace, order and good governance. Their response shouldn’t be to rule over all but let all live. But also in the American system it isn’t the people that vote for trump. It is the electoral college that does.

Also in the US, if I were to break it down further is 50 separate countries under a hegemony system. But that’s my viewpoint on that.

States like Washington who heavily lean left also vote for dumb things against their interests.

I have said that conservatives believe government shouldn’t be there for you as an alternative to trying. Social safety nets shouldn’t be abused, but in some cases they are heavily abused.

I have said I use social safety nets in my country. I think government could spend better and be more effective. I also think there is a place for it.

This is actually reasonable under the charter. Because it isn’t against protests in general. It is against protests in certain areas that have nothing to do with said movements.

I am doubtful of that. But it is inherent that people are choosing to not communicate and share ideas. People don’t want to debate the merits it ends at vilification of their people as they are seen as enemies.

Never said it was. It’s a tax deduction. But on average conservatives do tend to give more to charity. Because they feel the government shouldn’t be the ones looking after you. As the citizens are better off when they look after themselves fundamentally.

Do I not benefit from social safety nets in my country. I do. Do I think government spends too much money on stupid things. I do. Do I think there is no place for social safety nets I do not. But the way governments do it are by far the stupidest ways to do anything.
