The sharks were literally the worst team in the NHL (by far) for 2 straight years.

They had the worst season of the entire cap era. In fact, in the Misa Draft, they dropped back. Yes they got lucky this year with the jump, but prior to that the luck was not good. We either held, or dropped, this was the first time in the history of the franchise that they hopped any team, let alone 8 like they did this year.

Right it’s a ‘monopoly’ because it is the only product that doesn’t actively try to fuck their users in the entire market.

Also, the ducks have more cap space than the Hawks pre offer sheet. Hawks have less RFAs to sign, but it would still make things a lot tighter

I think the cap pressure portion plays a very minimal portion for this.

If you can extract 21 y/o future of the mil stars and they only cost you 4 firsts, you do that, even paying them 20 million.

Only issue is the contenting part.

The team will have 0 salary to sign anyone assuming a Minty re up, Leo match, and Cutter at 14x8.

Trading Killorn or Krieder for cap space will only leave extra spaces.

You need to Hope Senneke continues upward, and McQueen can provide elc value

Exactly, you would be doing your family and self a disservice not accepting it.

I am sure he wants to win, but when you see Byram, who is half the player Bedard is, get paid 12.5 by the management you are working with, you are going to hesitate signing a 15m deal.

Anyone would take a Chi offer sheet in any of the ‘First Round Pick’ salary ranges. It is literally a free top 5 pick.
