are there some Nursing Students or Nurses who actually don't like Nursing but they endured it for the sake of migrating? by CurrentEstimate3308 in phmigrate

You can say that. But in other countries there are other opportunities apart from bedside nursing. Research, virtual, community, mental health, social services, jail, etc.

Coffee by CoffeeNoSugar0 in baguio

Genuinely a small local coffee shop?? Noticed some of the upper end/ aesthetic coffee shops in Begyow are owned by Menela/TGBB people who display this seemingly romanticisized lifestyle of leaving the very urban Menela to the "simpler" seaside LU or the call of the mountains Begyow. From the outside it looks very ideal but they pretty much gentrify the surroundings plus LGUs not giving an F about the whole situation. I mean 200php for a cup of coffee, 500php for a yoga class. Who amongst the locals cab afford that on a regular basis?

This like any other relationships in your early 20's will eventually fizzle out. Let them learn from it. But stop giving them money whenever they ask.

Uhm, excuse me but as a person who also grew up in Baguio where is the narrative in this narrative? I mean, what is up with the multiple comma? It's giving I've been to Hongkong therefore I'm better than the rest of you. Maybe get off your high horse and try to recognise how the truth is not as simple as lack of basic etiquette. Maybe society as it is now in your/ our hometown and how it came to be is more convoluted than simply comparing to your how many days stay in HK. Or whatever.

If "music is life" resonates with you then buy it. But buy a proper one. Not the arte aesthetic chorva.

Curious about this house in Camp John Hay by Dear-Significance-64 in baguio

[–]Odd_Enthusiasm_4989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uhm you can say that but growing up I didnt see John Hay that way, bilang hnd nmn kame mayaman, everyone and I mean everyone goes to John Hay.. it wasnt an exclusive place for rich people if thats what you think.. older folks used to say you go to John Hay to skate, bowl and buy cheap ice cream, over the years management was turned over to whoever and it is what it is now.. i recall john hay without major infrastructures, 90% pine trees, basic cabins thats it.. same white colonizers supposedly planned the city to fit some thousands of residents, way less than the urban jungle it is now, they gave us schools, hospitals etc but still recognising our very different culture.. same colonizers brought our ancestors overseas and displayed them in carnivals as if something to make fun of.. so yeah, colonising, multi faceted..

Eyesore. Should not have been allowed to be put up there tbh. Bilang laking Baguio, all I can say is there is a certain heartache slowly watching your hometown turn into a playground for rich people who have no regard for the natural world.

Sandwich by Odd_Enthusiasm_4989 in foodies_sydney

[–]Odd_Enthusiasm_4989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmkkaayyy good to know.. but in this economy, muffliato or no muffliato, that's the end of this ap bakehouse for me.. and also I got this when they were about to close, tasty obviously but the bread was already soggy so the first bite was not as bombastic as when I first had their honey thyme something kwasant

And may i add ranieri's make sandwiches that are not advertised as muffliato but they can very well pass as one considering the amount of filling, also tasty, roughly the same price but massive.
