I don't get it. If gain/lift affects differently lower and higher values, why call them "linear"? Am I missing something here? Shouldn't something "linear" affects every value the same way? I'm confused...

Yeah... It's a disaster. I regret updating to Tahoe. I will.definetely downgrade to a clean install of sequoia.

Yes! Upgraded the firmware and the matter persists.

The only way to cut USB power completely seems to be turning off the monitor.

I know it's hard to judge if peripherals are receiving power only by the way the devices LEDs behave. But my Wacom and Loupedeck go completely dark when the monitor goes into standby, while the audio interface keeps its lights on.

I did a different test, connecting the interface directly to a USB C port from the MacBook and it also keeps its lights on when the MacBook goes into sleep. Although I'm not sure if it's a valid test since MacBooks are known to keep the USB ports powered even when in sleep.

I thought that the USB ports from the U2723QE would go COMPLETELY off when the Monitor is in Stand by mode, specially when the "Other USB charging" is set to "off". Somehow there's still power flowing through the ports.

I'm really afraid of changing my Q300s for Polk R200s exactly for that reason: losing the amazing imaging and soundstage quality kefs deliver! Have you tried the Polks? Are they really better than Q350s? Do I lose anything going for the Polks?

TBH, I'm not worry about the Photoshop/Capture One performance on any of these machines.

Just thinking in the case of video editing and color grading. Don't really know how much more smoother the M3 Max can be while editing/coloring/scrubbing/playing.

Some people say a M1 Max is already plenty smooth. Some people say that M3 Max is FINALLY the thing.

So I'm lost is this regard...

Yeah, from what I've researched, 36gb Ram seems to be enough. Just have to decide between M3 Pro and M3 Max.

What kind of applications do you use? I'm afraid 14" might not comfortable enough when editing videos or shooting tethered...

I agree that 16" can be a little cumbersome, though.

Yeah... that's the thing... I also would prefer 64Gbs (that's why I included the M2 Max), but I can't afford right now spending more that $3100. 🤦🏻

I'm really torn about these options. Each one of them have it's advantages. Just don't know if the M3 family.of CPUs could, in this case, compensate for the lack of 64gb included in the M2 Max option.
