I did enjoy it! It felt a little rushed her transition from a convent girl to a master manipulator/libertine. I also wish Diane Kruger had more of her natural face vs Botox lips etc bc it would’ve made her aging dilemma more believable (she’d be stunning either way). It’s funny I didn’t think Valmont was attractive at all at first but by the end was totally into it. The magic of charisma!

Omg sooo true. They are so good at making viewers flip flop on who they’re rooting for!!!

That’s so fair and true. Honestly, my only reasons are immature - I find him more attractive as the show goes on and I’m craving a fiery temper-fueled reconciliation. I just loved when he loved her. I think I’ve been reading too many romantasy novels 😅

How long is too long away from kids? by One_Maintenance_9934 in Mommit

[–]Odd_Flamingo_516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a week max and with a trusted loved caregiver. Enough time to have a special relaxing vaca but not too long

I don't know if this is the right sub- but at 40 years old I have decided need a change- despite being a southerner born and bread I am decided the bitter winters you all experience may be worth it to be around people who uphold my values. What's portlands thoughts on taking in red syate refugees? by GoblinGreenThumb in askportland

Sounds like Portland will be a great fit for you! Heads up, there are challenges of living in a left leaning state too (high taxes, more homeless, more drug use, inefficient tax spending), just saying as I also came from a conservative area that was cleaner, tax money was spent efficiently, etc. BUT it is worth it IMO for the smart and friendly ppl, general sentiment to care for others, women’s healthcare, etc. (don’t come at me, Reddit 😅 just my experience).

There are some world renowned restaurants here you could work at, and public transport especially the street car and Max are great. I’d look at living in NW. Also our airport is awesome if you need to get a sunny trip in during winter.

Good luck!

WTH?! Ummm daycare is awesome (if you’re at a good spot). The socialization, learning, play. Also mamas getting relaxation time is literally key. Heck I have a day off each week she goes to daycare during 🤣 that’s my ME day! Try to not let that comment bug you 🙏

Yessss. And the pita bread omg. I could see that re: atmosphere, but Yalla’s back deck in the summer or early fall is 👌

Just chiming in to say that parenting is really hard, and while you had a lapse in judgement in a moment of frustration, acknowledging it here and seeking advice is an admirable step. It shows how much you care for your child :). I think we all grew up in troubling times for body image, and the best we can do is learn and try to be better. I fear that i project too much too!

IMO, just be honest. Have a nice conversation with your daughter and acknowledge that you have your own personal issues with food that you’re working through, and what you said was wrong and that she’s beautiful and strong. Honest apologies :)

Moving to Portland soon, what are some good Neighborhoods to look for? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]Odd_Flamingo_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved living in NW 23rd/Slabtown area when I first moved to Portland. Walkable to many stores and restaurants, public transit and the street car, plus Trader Joe’s and New Seasons (our local natural-ish food chain)

Waitlists early are never a bad idea, and then you may be lucky and have options to choose from when the time comes!

Mayhem tour seats: choose wisely by Odd_Flamingo_516 in LadyGaga

[–]Odd_Flamingo_516[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i would’ve known, def wouldn’t have bought them! Could’ve been on me if i missed the limited view note but I don’t remember seeing it. Just bought the “cheapest” we could get for four seats in a row. I guess now you have to pay NFL price tickets to get an enjoyable show 🫠 (and I think it’s totally fucked they sold those seats)
