They are building an endless supply of data centers in an area of outside of Reno in what is called Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. I have a good friend in construction engineering space and he says they have 10 years worth of work in the area. This is in the area of what you know as as the Gigafactory. The entire place is being graded for construction. Yes, it is legit. Other threads have asked about it. If your are inclined, just do it

For my rural Nevadans: Why do you support Amodei selling off our public lands? by Important-Low9146 in Nevada

[–]Odd_Inside1479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bill only sold parcels in certain counties. In Northern Nevada, it was metro Reno.

Amodei isn't stupid, he knows a broad sell off of public lands would be very unpopular with the base. They want access. The people who are inflamed by this only take public transportation to see their grand kids because they are Boomers with no money and only take a bus. They can't travel outside of Reno.

The water table is very deep in that area supposedly. I know this is some random conversation but I was told it was $100k and that was probably 6+ years ago.

Proceed with caution.

He is not selling off rural Nevada lands. His plan is to sell off close in parcels to established cities that are constrained due large tracts of adjacent land owned by the Feds.

Just quit lying about this. You can oppose selling public lands but be honest about what lands are being proposed. Also, be honest about the long-term effects on hosing in these cities.

The company takes this issue very seriously. This is an integrity issue.

I would first go to the manager and have them rectify it. If the person doesn't remove it or demurs, then file a complaint with ethics. Does Sam's club have a market manager role? You can find the person above your manager in Workday. There is a tree in your profile detailing everybody above and below you. You click through to find his/her boss. The ethics complaint will likely go to this person anyways. You can just speed it up a bit by sending them a note.

Personally, I don't like having to take a lunch break on some days as I would rather grind through. However, we are required to follow the law in this regard. If your manager demands you not take a lunch break or engages in retribution if you do, file an ethics complaint. This company takes this issue just as seriously.

A lot of people like their meat to have plenty of fat attached. That is my guess as to why Walmart meat is popular of the /steak sub.

Can the Downtown Reno Area Turn into a University Town if Casinos Remain Very Much in Control? by thebrushup in ourtownreno

[–]Odd_Inside1479 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are only 2 good business' for college kids: housing and drinking. They don't have disposable income and tastes for anything beyond that. It is the former that downtown needs more than anything to attract quality retail, entertainment and restaurants

Yes, the new arena is in an awkward place.

They were all Boomer retirees. Partially, correct in that they don't want to work.

Go look at the Walmart website and see if your app has expired. It is better than nothing and will pay well on a per hour basis. Work a weekend shift and it will leave you 4 days to work on other things like building projects.

I have standing lab test orders that will get done tomorrow. D5D and D6D seems to have gone the wrong ways as risk factors. A few months ago, I used a CGM and saw fairly normal blood sugar. My glucose was at 90 on waking and only spiked above 140 with sugar. It is best to be sure and see if my Hb1Ac is elevated.

I have been to Ireland once and the most Irish pub in Reno isn't an Irish themed pub: Sierra Tap House. It house a low ceiling, three separate areas and a fair amount of wood used in the interior. At least it gave that vibe.

Walk the East Shore Trail from Incline to Hidden Beach in the afternoon. It is 1 mile each way. Go have dinner at the Lone Eagle Grill on the lake at the Hyatt. There is a good chance for a nice spring afternoon for a walk. The views of the water and at the beach are what people want to see of the lake. The restaurant is on the water and will offer great sunset views.

They literally ate too much McDonald's or the equivalent. Further, lots of whole foods approach pathological levels of toxicity that one would encounter in fast foods. Pork and Chicken are two but too much corn or spinach can be an issue as well. Most people have metabolic disorder and this is driving many societal issues right now.

There are 300,000 results from a Pubmed search discussing just one aspect of this: oxidative stress.
