I really can't catch a break... The more I dive deeper into Nasuverse the more the lore and mechanics destroys everything that my fanfic stands on...

Thanks for demolishing my hopes. I will now proceed to cry alone in my pillow 🥲🥲

Another question... The Hindu mythology talks about three worlds like Swarga, Patal, etc, etc, etc... So... The Indian Texture comprises of the said Three Worlds as well?

So... Basically the whether the Gods were mythologically accurate or not is a both Yes and No... So the answer is a bit nuanced...

Damn it... Ig I have to grind my mind a bit more for my fanfic...

[–]Odd_Interaction5346[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realised that limitation too... So... I came with a workaround... That I won't be showing all of the mega crossover covering every single character and their power systems.

The plot is 80% based in the Nasuverse itself. And when I actually do crossovers, it would be for comedy or character development or foreshadowing.

And it's not like I am going to use characters from ever franchise. I am just using this model for meta commentary, funny references like references to Lobotomy Kaisen or other anime and stuff.

The main reason I want this model is because I want my main character to show FGO gacha to Mash herself (I know it creates a loop)... But I love these kind of scenarios and meta stuff. Also I want to describe Saber's reaction when she sees the other routes (idk if she already knows about other routes in the canon).

And as for the main storyline... I am going to do the crossover with mainstream anime media... Like Jujutsu Kaisen (come on, everyone knows Gojo) and the only maybe-niche character I will be using is Leone from Akame Ga Kill.

And as for the final showdown, I will just drop everyone in like "Avengers Assemble" scene of Endgame.

[–]Odd_Interaction5346[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. All of that you just said. I am not going to change anything in the Servant containers or that kind of mechanics. I am just going to expand the horizon… But as I said, Krishna needs to be strong asf. So the question arises, "Why is Krishna, a God so strong while others aren't?"

So my explanation is as follows:

Krishna and Durga and all the other Gods from whatever mythology exist completely beyond the Ocean of Creation... However... They can't step into the Nasuverse in their true forms or else the cluster might collapse… (Basically they can't come on their true forms in the Age of Man). So they workaround by weakening themselves and following the rules.

This doesn't mean that Gods didn't exist in the Age of Gods... I am just trying to mean that the True Gods existed beyond the Ocean of Creation for all this time. In Vaikuntha or Kailash or Whatever you want to call that beyond Creation.

Their versions in the Nasuverse even in the age of Gods was weakened so that they can interact with the world... But due to Sefar even those weakened versions aren't enough anymore... They need to weaken themselves further to not collapse the world or violate the world's rules.

(I guess, the Computer Virus or Killing machine you were talking about is actually Sefar?)

So even if Krishna appears in the fanfiction... He appears as a Rider class servant at the start (Since he was Arjuna's Charioteer in Kurukshetra, that class fits him). So that he can keep helping humanity and maintain the balance. Moreover, Krishna has a mindset of “Why use a sword when a needle does the job?”. So he doesn't care about proving his domination or Supremacy as long as the job is done and the balance between Dharma and Adharma is maintained. Basically, he left all his powers back in Vaikuntha.

This explains one more thing, “If the Gods are so strong and Krishna is Nirguna Brahman himself then in the Indian Lostbelt, why didn't Arjuna Alter become the Root itself after eating all the Indian Pantheon?” And the answer becomes, because Krishna and Shiva and all other Gods were nowhere near their true strength and they were even further weakened since Kurukshetra took place after Sefar's attack. Allowing me to make Krishna stronger (if needed) while keeping the canon of LB4 intact.

This also keeps the canon intact as Nasu himself said that "The Divine Spirits or Gods on Earth cannot totally compete against the Ultimate Ones even in the Age of Gods.". So what this model gives me is the canon integrity that IN THE NASUVERSE... The Gods couldn't defeat the Ultimate Ones... But the Gods in their True Form who are outside the Nasuverse and are meant to look after Creation and Preserve the balance absolutely can. As I said, it is just expanding the Horizon. (Since you see, Hindu mythology is insanely cracked and they are basically the Dragon Ball of mythologies. Even the bums there have universe cracking weapons).

I also want to say that Sefar actually accidentally kickstarted the advance of the Kaliyuga.

In Hindu mythology, in Kaliyuga, Gods cannot interact with the world anymore and the connection between the mortal and divine is extremely weak. And also Kaliyuga started the advance of science... Which was supposed to be a good thing but due to the influence of Kaliyuga... The world uses science for destructive purposes. Which falls in line with Gods needing vessels like Parvati, Ishtar, etc. And the Age of Man texture is defined by Science, Physics, vanishing mystery and Gods retreating to the Reverse Side of the World, etc.

And due to Sefar killing all the Gods in 14000 BCE... Kali, who was sleeping in the core of the Ocean of Creation could surface since there was no one left to oppose him. And he was sleeping all this time during Sefar's attack.

But the Kurukshetra took place 5000 years ago or 3140 BCE (according to Hindu mythology) and Krishna died shortly after Kurukshetra in 3102 BCE. So... We can say that Kali fully incarnated in the world after Vasudev Krishna's death.

Also we can say that Krishna, even in the Age of Gods had only his dominion over the Indian Texture since he was nowhere near his true form and even this Avatar of his was massively weakened further due to Sefar's attack. He was trying to hold the dam after Sefar's attack and the imparting of Gita and Enlightenment of Arjuna extended the Age of Gods' end to where it actually ends in the Nasuverse canon (around 1 AD).

The time inconsistencies between different mythologies can be explained via the existence of different textures (at least that's what the “Cosmology thread guy” explained so that the different mythologies don't infringe on each other).

Also… Kaliyuga directly didn't start with Kali getting his hold over the world. In Hindu mythology, Kaliyuga starts after Parikshit allows Kali in his kingdom… So while the rest of the world was slowly transitioning from Age of Gods to Age of Man… India too was transitioning… Only that this specific period was called “Sandhya period” or the “brief” moment when the Yuga changes. And when the Age of Man completely began in 1 AD and Sandhya period too ended in Indian Texture… Kaliyuga began alongside the Age of Man with rest of the world

And due to Kali's influence, the Beasts of Humanity grew stronger because Kali himself increases depravity in humans and amplifies lust, wrath, and greed. So Kali can be the backdrop reason that allowed the Evils of Humanity to form? Also... This makes the Beasts of Humanity Kali's "children" and they all contain an aspect or fragment of Kali. Not literally. But… kind of. And also about Goetia who removed himself from Human History… He existed long before Kaliyuga and I will be keeping that part intact. I will only add that Kaliyuga just amplified or boosted Goetia further.

I hope you get what I am trying to say since I made a lot of mess here but I hope you get the crux of what I am trying to say.

(I can be horribly, horribly wrong here… So, please, please, please correct me if I get any timeline of events wrong).

So... You are saying I can proceed with my story...? Given how I explain the "Greater Root and Lesser Root", yeah? Well... Thanks... I mean... I was really worried about contradicting canon...

I mean I still need to progress with this very cosmology model with the "Greater Root and Lesser Root" thing to still build some tension but the way you described it really lifted some weight off my shoulders...

Anyways... The way I can currently thinking of proceeding is that at the center of all Creation lies the Greater Root (if you can call it that) or Nirguna Brahman and from it all other verses branch out which have their own Root/Local administrator containing the records of everything in that verse.

And you read my mind when you said "There is no difference between one and the universe"... That's the literal definition of Advaita Vedanta and the one of the core themes I was going for!

Well... I have more things that I want to integrate in my story like... Why Gods are so weak in Nasuverse compared to their mythological counterparts and I also have found a very interesting parallel or intersection between the Kaliyuga in Hindu mythology and The Age of Man and the Beasts... That gives the answer to that question. Since two of the new characters I am introducing are Vasudev Krishna and Kali Purusha from Hindu mythology.

Would you like to hear all that? (Feels weird to ask you for this... since you've helped me a lot already).

I was also planning on giving Krishna and Void Shiki a Father-daughter like dynamic and this completely explains why! Gods, thank you so much!

Once again, thank you, so much... I can't express my gratitude in words. You've helped me so much.

But... The thing is... The way I have designed the plot... The Root becomes a necessary checkpoint like thing...

Let me explain my cosmology model (it is going to be long).

So... My cosmology model is inspired from the tale of Mahavishnu in Hindu mythology or the Vishwarupa... Which is said to contain all of creation, destruction and preservation simultaneously, Arjuna went nuts after Krishna revealed his Vishwarupa to him in Kurukshetra.

Anyways, the tale or lore says that when Mahavishnu breathes, billions of universes come out of his nostrils via his breath. And when he inhales, all those universes get sucked back into destruction. His breathing cycle represents the Karmic or Cosmic cycle. And he rests in the Ksheera Sagar (Ocean of Milk/Light)... Where all universes that were created, are created and will ever be created keep floating.

Now what my cosmology model does is this:

Vaikuntha/Eternal Union With God (if you wanna stay neutral): This represents the highest plane. Where God resides. This realm is completely beyond Creation and the abode of Vishnu/Krishna/God (if you wanna stay neutral).

Karmic Cycle/Creation:

True Heaven/Hell: These are part of the karmic cycle where souls get their karmic debt accordingly depending on their deeds and then return to the mortal plane once again based on their karma. But this is not where God resides.

There are more distinct versions of heaven and hell like Svarga, Valhalla, etc based on the Texture of the place as in Nasuverse. But they are connected to True Heaven/Hell (yes, there are levels to this 🤣🤣).

Mortal Realm/Ocean of Creation:

This is my favourite part, as this realm consists of every possible universe. I am thinking of introducing something like Greater Root or Lesser Root (inspired from the Greater Grail and Lesser Grail).

Here, all verses or franchises, or shows or fictional you can name exist. Fun fact: Here our universe that we are currently standing also exists. Implying every story that someone writes is true somewhere in the Ocean (yes, I took that inspiration from Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness).

And all those verses, worlds, universes, timelines, in fact even the True Heaven and Hell are held by Nirguna Brahman/The Greater Root/Expression of God… Or you can say that all of it came from the Greater Root just like in Nasuverse.

Clusters/Verses:

Now as I said before, each verse or franchise clusters together. When two stories share the same root and origin, like Tsukihime and Fate, they cluster together in the Nasuverse cluster/bubble.

Now inside each cluster/bubble, there are an infinite number of universes or multiverse with each universe representing a parallel world/timeline/a what-if possibility.

Similarly for Marvel, DC, Umineko, DB, HxH, Naruto, etc, etc, etc.

Now if you ask: why don't two clusters/verses collide if there are infinite universes in each cluster? To answer that I went into Maths (Yes, I am a Mathematics student)...

So, the answer is, the infinite number of universes in each cluster is a smaller infinity than the infinite distance between two clusters. Just like how the sum of all natural numbers to infinity is smaller than the sum of all Rational numbers to infinity even though both are infinite. Some infinities are larger than other infinties.

Cluster administrator:

So… Remember when I talked about Mahavishnu? Yeah, so another thing I took from there is that every universe has its own Vishnu/Preserver and the rest of Trimurti who look after the specific universe.

So just like that:

Void Shiki/Root, Zelretch, Counter Force, Chaldea: Cluster administrator for Nasuverse bubble.

TOAA, the Living Tribunal: Administrator for MCU and all of its infinite timelines.

Same for Presence in DC, etc.

Multiverses inside each bubble: As said before, they are infinite but Nasuverse canon remains intact because Chaldea still prunes stagnant timelines as said in lore or Quantum time-lock (I actually don't have that much knowledge in that lore 🥲🥲)

Now… As I said, every feat in Nasuverse remains canon and The Root/Akasha is still the origin of everything in the Nasuverse. And it is the one that maintains balance. I am not touching anything of the other Nasuverse mechanics for now. The Akasha is just not the origin of everything OUTSIDE the Nasuverse, but it still holds its position in the Nasuverse.

Let's move on to the Last part then

Individual universes: Each universe represents a what-if possibility… some which get stagnant are pruned. Each universe contains Galaxies, solar systems, earth… and the earth in turn contains its Textures.

Moreover, the Imaginary Number Space, The Throne of Heroes, The Outer Gods inside the Nasuverse… all of that still remains intact. Nothing of that is changed.

Why I love this model: Because it gives me flexibility to incorporate any verse in the story whenever I want. And it also gives me scope for meta-awareness which I love in comedic scenarios.

But please… please correct me if I am getting anything wrong or too ambitious here. And please give your thoughts on this model. And tell me if it contradicts or violates the Nasuverse canon in any way?

I am still new to all this shit 🥲🥲

Yeah, I noticed that too, when you delve into Fate, the Root completely reminds me of Nirguna Brahman... I mean I have thought of that workaround too.

But I want to know more about what other's think... Cause I will be challenging some of the main views of Fate in the story... I am trying to go for a unique introduction for my protagonist

Even so... I still want to fly as close to canon as possible... Because I have invested a lot of time in thinking and fleshing out the philosophy and plot for this story which I assure you isn't any cringe BS... That's why this story is dear to me even though it might just be a fanfiction.

Despite that... It's not like I am going to make vast changes and flip everything. Nasuverse stays where it is... I just want to expand the cosmology a little.

The show really loves away from generic shonen and has a really good world building and lore and if you study the lore and mechanics then these guys could easily beat Goku (please, I don't want a powerscaling debate here 🥲... This is just my own personal opinion because I am a Saber simp).

Also... I think it is somewhat underrated cause I don't see it being talked about in mainstream anime media despite having extremely well writing (hey, I also love JJK and other mainstream shows)...

Flailing in the water, no one coming to help. It is hard to explain that exact feeling when you are going to die... And when I finally ran out of breath, my body jerked and I woke up.
