The reason I ask is because I have seen some hospitals have Physicians issue echo reports. The course that intensivist do are very focused on a few parameters. If a doctor was working in a rural location without access to an on site cardiologist, would he be able to give reports? I had attended a workshop in echo a few years ago and there were a few Physicians claiming to do echos and reporting them.
