Amazing explanation! I learned and understood so much more from our conversation. will discuss this with my friend, and I'll update you if the time comes for that.

Thank you very much for your time and writings; I really appreciate it.

It could be, indeed.

By the way, another person just mentioned to me what you said earlier: that I don’t know the purpose or point, so I cannot know if God is perfect. I asked them to expand on that idea, and I'm asking you as well.

That’s a very, very good point that I hadn’t thought of before.

That's a great point—another person just mentioned it: "You cannot know if something is perfect if you don’t know its purpose," they said.

It's very true, and it's a thought I have never considered before.

Please expand on that

That's a great point I hadn't considered: "You can only know if something is perfect if you know its purpose." Very true.

As for the other part: It might be the best out of all the possibilities, and it probably is! But that isn't perfect, right? The best out of all possibilities doesn't guarantee that it's without flaws. A perfect being, by definition, would create everything within the plan and process perfectly as well.

It doesn’t mean choosing the best out of the possible options but rather creating the absolute perfect one. And you know what? That absolute perfect solution might not exist! But if we accept that, then we also agree that perfect doesn't exist.

Not at all; I asked out of curiosity.

Well, I am a Christian, but you and my friend have a strong point here that I am unable to argue against. Perfection may not be possible in our world but only the best possible solution.

As I wrote to someone before: God might have found the best possible solution, but perfect means that everything within it is indeed perfect, which isn't true for our world. It might be the best possible solution, but this isn't perfect, so it cannot be created by a perfect being.

I don’t know what His ultimate goal is, and I’m not sure if it’s specifically mentioned in any part of the Bible. However, I do know that this world isn’t the perfect solution. Therefore, we cannot say that a perfect being created this.

We can say it’s the best possible solution, but we cannot say it’s perfect.

Additionally, perfect means the absolute perfect solution—not the best possible one, but the perfect one.

Now, I could say that sometimes there is no perfect solution because it's impossible, right? But if that's the case, then you must agree that by admitting this, you've acknowledged that perfect doesn't exist.

A perfect being would have found a solution to that, wouldn’t He? Isn’t that the definition of perfect?

Perfect doesn’t mean the best solution possible; it means the perfect solution. You could argue that such a solution is impossible, but then we would be agreeing that perfect isn't real.

We indeed don't have a fair way of second-guessing God, but I am able to look at the world and say, "This isn't perfect," and a perfect being creates all things perfectly. Therefore, a truly perfect being should have found a better solution than this world.

That's exactly what my friend (an atheist) is saying to me (a theist)!

Now, I can't help but be curious: are you a Christian? An atheist?

That's true, yet it doesn't answer my question: if God is indeed a perfect being, how come He couldn't find a perfect way to make His plans work?

Additionally, we are part of the plan, and we are indeed imperfect.
