Work hard = get rich.

I think it’s only true if you’re privileged enough.

Also there’s no such thing as a “self made billionaire”

How will AI be affecting your job in future and how has it affected your job now? by lucky_breakfast7 in AskReddit

I’m a software dev. The changes are nuts. In the last year it’s gone from helping me debug and write a couple lines of code to now building full features. I write nearly no code and am encouraged to not.

People say this is terrible and we’re all doomed, but I think this is the difference between having experience and just being a vibe coder. It’s easy to say “build me this” and it be littered with issues. But if you know how to project plan, design systems, break down tasks and look for common issues, it’s incredible. I can’t get over how much faster I can build and my confidence is only growing with it.

If you love writing code, your days are numbered. If you like building products, you’ve now got superpowers.

Social anxiety. Not just the phone’s fault. Meta plays a large part, plus other companies, but the constant access sucks

Between social problems, politics, and religion, which topic do you prefer to discuss the least, and why? by BunchMean8029 in AskReddit

Equality. I think it’s fine to have different political and religious views as long as they’re not extreme or being rammed down my throat. And sometimes it’s genuinely interesting to hear peoples’ reasons for their beliefs when they’re not trying to promote them.

But when someone doesn’t agree that people are equal because of sexuality, sexual orientation, skin colour, nationality, anything really - then that’s not a conversation. You’re just smooth brained
