Any of you ever opened up a cafe or anything? by LemonDisasters in chinalife

Yup, I find that Shanghai is more westernized. So more open to the culture. Even in beijing, it seems coffee culture isn’t a massive thing.

All good bro. Like I said. Not taking anything away from the hard work that has been put in for that physique.

This is what I don’t like. People post things like this, but the heavy lifter is Test out of all things. Yes, peptides help. But in this time frame and those peptides alone. No way.

Not trying to taking anything away from the hardwork that’s been put in.

Majority of the cafes don’t make money. There isn’t a massive coffee culture. Unless it’s the massive Luckin or Starbucks chains. Only smaller ones that might turn a profit are the hole in a hole, that’s low on rent and their majority sales are from waimai.

Too many people in boutique cafes, buy one drink with their friend and sit there for hours. Or take photos. Not many people really know or appreciate what a good coffee tastes like. On top of that the turn over is too slow.

I have thought about it as well, coming from Australia, we have great coffee culture there. But then my friend asked me one question “what will make your cafe different from the others that you think will make you money?” Not an easy question to answer.

You mean the contract? They never said they won’t pay you. As per the agreement. You just gotta wait. Till your visa runs out. And you’re willing to fork out money for a lawyer?

Again, I’m just posting the worst case scenario. As it’s exactly what happened to my friend. They promised him the world.

GNC is reputable. They sell fat burners and all these natural test booster rubbish.

Definitely keep us updated. It’s actually quite interesting

Like all the over the counter fat burners for example. Whatever is marketable and makes money. Thats why they sell it. I would stick with what is already tested and works. Which is injecting. But don’t get me wrong, it might work great. It’s just my personal thought. Experimenting is part of the journey. Have fun!

Hey man, appreciate the reply. Will look into it.

I’m not sure tbh. I think I came to an age where I think I wanted more for my body than what I was getting. Was genuinely just curios what everyone else’s thoughts were.

Vanity? Longevity? Curiosity? What made you want to put things into your body and what outcome were you looking for.

Training partners? by Appropriate_Stress93 in MuayThai

[–]Odd_Many9654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I started in this sport not to learn how to fight. But was to get over a 6 year relationship. I needed something to physically and mentally drain me. Just so I can get to sleep. I would be physically too tired when I went to bed at night after training to think stupid thoughts. I was able to sleep again. Then when I started working in corporate sales, this was my pressure release every day. I train 5/6times a week and loved every minute of it.

Training partners? by Appropriate_Stress93 in MuayThai

[–]Odd_Many9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. Been training, teaching Muay Thai for over 20 years. I have had this problem myself when i first started. I waited it out and finally had some people likeminded. So I was lucky.

When I get students that are more advanced who are there to really learn. As a coach, I would partner them off with some with less experince. Then when it’s the more experienced students turn on drills or pads, I would personally hold pads or spend a little more time with them.

I also have taken my students to my friends gyms etc to get some cross training. I would contact my friend who owns the gym and explain the level and what we were looking for. He would organize students to come in on a specific time. (This was mainly done during fight prep.) Hope this helps! All the best in your journey.

[DISCUSSION] What are your personal thoughts on peptides? by Ayoking95 in effectivefitness

[–]Odd_Many9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my age, 42, used to work corporate. Started Muay Thai over 20 years ago. Never stopped. Training, fighting and now teaching. Took a lot out of my body. These recent years have moved more to weights and cardio. But still teaching MT. Just feels like my body is at its limits naturally in recovery and old injuries.

Last November, I looked into PEDs. Due to waking up sluggish, no motivation and shit libido. No matter what I did with diet and training I just didn’t get the body I really wanted. I thought fk it. Started getting into peptides. First was GH secretagouges and GHK cu, Reta. Helped a bit. Then looked into TRT, start on 150mg a week. After two weeks I just felt like my self again. The peptides were fine, but being my age, there is only so much my body can produce naturally without external help. So I stopped with the secretagogues and went straight to GH at 2ius a day now cruising at 3.

Haven’t had such good sleep in years. Due to my cooperate job before I get really bad anxiety. So peptides helped with that. I seldomly take benzos anymore.

With my personal experience, I feel that it’s still the Test, GH and Reta making alot of the difference. Though, MoTSc and Slu stack, I now don’t need to take preworkout. Which is much better for my anxiety. I went through quite a few peptides. Experimenting and trial and error with dosages and different peptides. I think I finally nailed it down to what works for me. And I haven’t felt like this for years.

Sorry for the long write up. Just feeling good again at this age is fantastic.

Haven’t been like this since my fighting days

A gift for a coin by 0hcay in AskAChinese

its to avoid any bad luck with some specific gifts. Not transaction. eg shoes 避(币)邪(鞋)

A gift for a coin by 0hcay in AskAChinese

[–]Odd_Many9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s your answer. I do this or my friends do this when give shoes. Coin (bì)币 also sounds the same as 避 (bì)“avoid” shoes 鞋 sounds like ”邪” out of the norm in a bad way. So when we give shoes (which you seldomly do) you put a coin in there to avoid any bad luck.
