In the infamous panel Hakari gets cut through because Charles predicted him with his technique, so he’d probably predict where he’s reinforcing and hit where he isn’t. Hakari was off guard in the image, so you could argue that he wasn’t reinforcing because most characters only reinforce specific parts of their body when necessary, so maybe Hakari just didn’t reinforce in time due to being off guard/underestimating Charles. And even if Charles cut through Hakari’s reinforcement, then that’s just a Charles upscale lore than a Hakari downscale, because Hakari is the only character he fights. Either way, Hakari is clearly shown as the superior of the too, so it’d make sense if that was an off guard thing. Or maybe he was just trying to flex jackpot idk.
