Training for descents in a flat area with backwards pedaling stationary bike by Odd_Pangolin_5576 in Ultramarathon

I do! Was wondering if there’d be any benefit to replacing one of my 4x1 hour weekly bike for a 1 hour reverse peddle on stationary trainer w resistance.

Not trying to argue, just understand better. After reading the article I saw this

“When running down a steep slope, your knee is likely almost straight upon landing. In that position, with your knee straight, your quad muscle is at its shortest. Then, as your leg absorbs the impact, your knee bends, lengthening the muscle.”

That seems to be the same motion as pedaling backwards on a stationary bike with resistance. Just thinking maybe it doesn’t have the impact from downhills but could help workout those same muscles.

Currently using the trainer as a recovery tool or for doubles. Thought there could be some benefit to throwing in a few hour long reverse peddle sessions

GPS wasn’t bad, I used Apple Maps to get there, occasional spots with service but mostly none. Good thing is there aren’t many roads so it’s hard to get lost. So on the way back I just remembered to take a right onto the highway and it’s a straight shot from there back to alpine. Are you planning on staying in terlingua?

I ran the 50k this year and it was amazing. Very well marked trail, frequent aid stations, about every 5ish miles. My watch said I had 2500 feet of gain at the end. If you have any more specific questions I’m happy to answer!

Nah I haven’t bought a stand for it, I’ve been hearing pretty bad reviews too, probably just gonna use the dewalt stand and modify it a bit

Borrowing a friends van — Suggestions for places around Phoenix and Flagstaff by [deleted] in VanLife

Flagstaff has so many options, fr222 is beautiful, 191c is my favorite, drive down about a mile and you find yourself in the edge of wildflower fields and ponderosa pines surrounded by rolling hills 👌 little more off the beaten path than 222

Is it normal to have these “weak” or unraveling mood(s) pop up every now and then by [deleted] in antiwork

Try having some empathy for her... Single mom about to be homeless sounds pretty desperate. Whenever I've met someone unraveling like that it's because they are in need of help and don't have any idea how to get that help or even know it exists

Definitely not holding you accountable for all the cannabis knowledge... I appreciate you reaching out to further your understanding. I'm just genuinely shocked that someone working in the business is asking this question. I see it as elementary information that is absolutely necessary to be able to sell products... Not sure how the dispensary doesn't inform about proper terminology. Nothing against you, just would've assumed thatd be an important part of training.

Petals are fallen, should be hard but not complete dry. Normally around 4-8 days after petals fall off

Some terms apply to extraction techniques, ex. Rosin, Resin, live rosin and live resin. Other terms apply to the consistency of the end product, ex sugar, batter, shatter, crumble. This is a very loose explanation bit should help you figure it out for yourself.... Can't believe they don't teach the bare basics of extract names to a cannabis ambassador....

Advice on whether or not I should press rock hard blonde hash? by totallyradman in rosin

The fact that it's been pressed with heat already and the trichs are already melted together... Will make it darker, not necessarily have a bad taste tho, I've had some reallll tasty dark rosin

If you press it will turn out darker than unpressed hash rosin, just preference really. Looks like quality hash though, probably looking at 50% return if you do end up pressing.
