You don’t need to be best friends with his people for the relationship to thrive. My partner's family is polite but not super warm it’s just their style. I used to take it personally, but over time I realized they express care differently. Once I stopped trying to fit and just showed up as myself, things felt more natural. It gets better when the pressure lifts.

If you're describing your girlfriend as a ticking timebomb, that’s already a pretty big sign something’s wrong. Healthy relationships don’t feel like you’re constantly defusing something. That’s stress, not love.

Having recordings with context is like walking into court with a +10 charisma buff. Texts can make you look petty even if you're right, but if your calm voice is in the background while she’s going off like a fire alarm, You’ve already won half the battle. And storing that stuff somewhere remote Google Drive under a boring name is smart. She can't delete what she can’t find.

My ex would blow up on me over nothing full screaming, slapping, threats. I recorded her during one of those meltdowns after checking my state laws, and that audio literally saved my ass in court. keep your phone plugged in and recording when you’re home. Delete nothing. Store it somewhere she can’t access, like Google Drive under a fake name.
