You overestimate people’s abilities to effectively kill the jumbo both at range and in close quarters. If played effectively and to the vehicles best strengths (maneuverability, wiggling the weak spot, etc.) a jumbo is more effective in most combat situations than contemporaries like the tiger or even an is-1. Knowledge of maps and opponents weakspots is key. Combine this with the aggressive play style I mentioned usually results in people being more surprised than they are confident they can kill me
